Ports got a lot going on in trade period
It's started with Rioli and West Coast are playing hard ball. They want our Amon trade to the Hawks. And now are asking about Dan Houston a player we have on a 5 year contract.
Maby we go for our trades from North Melbourne and Geelong. And leave West Coast trade negotiations till last.

Wonder if we might give Will a rookie spot or higher if we trade out Hayes. I played footy with his old man and couple of years ago found out a bit about him.

He has been in our NGA program for 4 years, not for the indigenous and multicultural kids program, but both Port and the crows take youngsters from the 4 SANFL clubs they are each zoned to, and give them some development training from when they are 14 or 15. Both clubs have no rights to these kids, but they build contacts with them and will have a bit better inside knowledge of the marginal kids come draft time.

Edit - this is the academy Will went thru - Official AFL Website of the Port Adelaide Football Club

Aaron Cadman entered his draft year as a promising, athletic, tall wingman with a long left-foot kick and a strong tank but without the genuine strength needed to be a dominant key forward.

Less than two months before the 2022 draft, Cadman is up to 15kg heavier – thanks to “eating like crazy” – yet hasn’t lost any of his aerobic base, leading to comparisons to Cats superstar Jeremy Cameron – the player he models his game on.

In a draft stacked with midfielders and hybrid types, Cadman has emerged as the clear best key-position prospect.

98cm running vertical jump by Van Es is 7th best on record. See all top 10's before this combine HERE. Will Verrall jumped 90cm which is a good sign for a potential rookie ruckman spot.

Van Es doesn't make Rookie Central's top 40. Here is their profile of him

Running vertical jump
1. James Van Es (GWV Rebels) – 98cm
=2. Josh Weddle (Oakleigh Chargers) – 90
=2. Will Verrall (South Adelaide) – 90
4. Jack O'Sullivan (Oakleigh Chargers) – 89

Vertical jump
1.Darcy Jones (Swan Districts) – 75cm
2. James Van Es (GWV Rebels) – 75

20m sprint
1. Edward Allan (Claremont) – 2.814 seconds
2. Toby McMullin (Sandringham Dragons) -2.880
3. Coby Burgiel (Gippsland Power) – 2.883
4. James Van Es (Greater Western Victoria Rebels) – 2.910

Wrote this in the Esava Ratugolea thread -
I reckon Bonner and/or Hayes are a big chance to be traded out for a pick or two.

We only have 33 and 60 and Geelong only have 25, 58. 64 and the Bowes trade to go, where they get 7 for the salary cap dump but have said they wont split it to get Henry from Collingwood. That could change.

Player possibilities at pick 33:

Isaac Keeler 198cm/88kg North Adelaide Key forward/ruck

Lewis Hayes 197cm/81kg Eastern Ranges Key defender

James Van Es 196cm/97kg GWV Rebels Key defender

Harry Lemmey 199cm/93kg West Adelaide Key forward

Kobe Ryan 182cm/72kg Sturt midfielder

Adam D'Aloia 186cm/86kg WWT midfielder

Billy Dowling 187cm/79kg North Adelaide midfielder
