As someone pointed out these kids are articulate , confident and not shy of self promotion - don't mind it at all to be honest.
That's why I don't get the Phillipou drive byes on this board - watching the interviews on AFL.com and prior he's no different to others in the top 10.
Hope he fulfils his potential.

Not gonna lie, find it kinda funny that Phillipou basically said it came down to Hawks and Bombers but he's off to the Saints at Pick 10 instead of Pick 4 or 7. Might be the first of many ego checks he gets from here on out.

Wish him the best, but needs to put his head down and realize nothing is guaranteed from here - as he's just realized by not going to a big Melbourne club, and instead now going to a club with 1 flag in its history and who always play at Marvel and no marquee games.

Could be the best thing for him... if he takes it on board.

His ego is probably the biggest danger to him having a good career. And it's a huge danger.

Credit where credit is due, this has actually been pretty quick and 'fluff' free. Already 14 picks in and not even an hour has passed. First round should be done by 8:45-9PM which is pretty solid

Was just posting before, I think he's trying to put distance between the Selwood tag and his own career. So, I couldn't see him (or anyone else for that matter), opting for that number mere months after the retirement of the greatest skipper in our history and only 4 time Premiership player. Way too much to live up to for a kid.
