We lost 1 best 22 player at the conclusion of the season, retaining a lot of over 30 mids.
Bowes, Bruhn, Clark all in. All should be contesting for spots in the matchday squad.

Very happy with our offseason.

Some times not doing the safe and the obvious - you can end up getting a rich reward

no one can be the second coming of Selwood and that kind of pressure will kill the kid IMO.

Let him be himself and not develop in the everest shadow of Selwood. Even though hes gone... he aint gone.

We always give our highest draft pick the earliest number, so I suspect he gets the number 4 now that Higgins is gone

Not gonna lie, find it kinda funny that Phillipou basically said it came down to Hawks and Bombers but he's off to the Saints at Pick 10 instead of Pick 4 or 7. Might be the first of many ego checks he gets from here on out.

Wish him the best, but needs to put his head down and realize nothing is guaranteed from here - as he's just realized by not going to a big Melbourne club, and instead now going to a club with 1 flag in its history and who always play at Marvel and no marquee games.

I think we give our highest pick the choice of numbers that are available. It is not imposed.
