Van Es, as the listed tall defender over Lemmey who is a forward who might be able to defend.

but Saints are meant to be interested in Van Es… so… who know

Adelaide can trade in we can't I expect them to trade in for Barnett well at least they should.

Lemmey, hayes, van es, Barnett, keeler in that order for me. Very possible none of them will be there though.

Stupid AFL drag everything out but the season.... How bout ya play more games and less of the the trade month then have to wait till nearly Xmas so we can then stretch the draft out as long as possible.

I also worry about Sydney for some reason.

They have a pretty balanced squad. But a Rampe replacement (3rd tall) would likely be why they tried for Michalanney. I don’t know enough about Rowston to comment, but midfield depth is always a good thing.

Sydney dont really have an excessively tall defender, but the do have the McCartin brothers who played really well last year. However, given the time to develop a key defender, and Paddy McCartin‘s history, they may take one. They clearly have the eye on someone.

The Saints board can’t believe Phillipou landed at their pick, if he was Victorian he would have gone higher IMO.

1. Brisbane gets 41, 50, 52 and 63 - Hawthorn gets 36 and future Round 3

2. Brisbane gets 40 - North Melbourne gets 63 and future Round 3

3. Hawthorn gets 18 - Sydney gets 27, future Round 2 and future Round 3

with all the trades our points value increased by around 120 points

That’s 16 picks between now and our pick, with 8 players I’d really like still to be crossed off. I kind of like those odds?

I know I'm repeating what many think, but sheesh, can't help but feel like he is an extremely obvious go home player.

Will be watching him closely, hopefully his development is great and we have another trade target in a couple years.

Playing for the worst club in AFL history, to empty stadiums Vs coming home to his father's club, his home state and his favourite team, to play in front of a packed AO singing NTUA every game.

I reckon he's a huge chance to come back.

That’s a good deal for Sydney
Hawthorn will finish bottom 3 so their Round 2 in 2023 is in the early 20’s
They lose 9 spots in this year and also gain 2023 pick in the early 40’s
And watch pick 27 will be some Academy kid we have never heard of who is a gun

I wonder if we do a Cripps special ....

use our 1st pick 36 and one of our future picks to move up to pick 27

then use it to get a young replacement for Robbie such as Brayden George (he has x factor and earlier in the year he kicked 5 goals in a game then 6 goals in another game a few weeks later)

he was also training to spend time in the midfield

I want us to draft Hugh Davies because he looks like a carrot-top Milan Faletic.

His draft highlights footage is pretty good. Quite athletic. He looks far more athletic and skilled than Jed Adams.
