Clarke and Van Es would be peanut butter jelly time

Something like Keeler/Hayes and Adams/Marshall would get me excited

Wouldnt be against Long and Phillips, though not 100% sold

Matteas will have left the Saints within 4 years, bookmark it. Will either come to Port or move to a bigger Vic club.
The Crows board already has a bring him home thread to match their JHF one.

Some of them are already pre-empting his move to Port by suggesting he is no good.

Three days for this thing seems like a special kind of torture for all involved.
It depends on whether we take 3 in the national draft or just 2. If we take the 3, which ensures the best chance to get a player we want, but costs us flexibility when shuffling players from the rookie list to the main list at the end of next year, then we don't have a free rookie space, since we guaranteed Williams we will pick him up.

Jed Adams highlights package is very underwhelming. Slow and poor skills. No footage of being within cooee of his direct opponent. Hugh Davies looks much better.

If we get a 195+ key defender what is left for us to whinge about with our list?

What we need now can’t be solved via the draft, as it will take time to develop these guys. A ready made ruck and a ready made key back are the obvious things for mine.

I'm gonna put this out there, there's no way Hayes can slide effectively 15-20 places to the second last pick of the second round. I have written him off.

If I'm wrong please feel free to quote this post and @ me :p

I'm expecting Phillips or Davies at 36 - maybe Van Es but I expect St Kilda to take him with the pick before ours (maybe Lemmey but there's something weird about how the better connected draft experts don't seem to rate his chances) and McMullin or Long (if he's still there) at 53. Maybe Tedcastle unless we are eyeing him as a rookie.

Maybe we'll use 65 or whatever it comes in to for someone like Verrall or Elliott, although I'm not sure how we are placed for list space at that point, given we will rookie Williams and Barkla.
