Peel Thunder and South Fremantle advanced in week one of the WAFL Colts finals series. We noted some of the top performers from either win.

Cadman possibility got an easy run against WA with Busslinger out.
Wouldn’t knock him not sold either for some reason.
Lemmey I suspect is just having a really poor run of luck. I’d judge him on what he does with west juniors for the rest of the year.

What kind of a midfielder do we project Phillipou to become? How would he fit in our midfield?

He’s an inside midfielder with x-factor.

He will fit into any midfield.

We would probably start him off as a forward who rotates onto the ball in short bursts.

If we were lucky enough to land him, butters rozee and phillipou would be the a very fun midfield to watch.

he could easily go pick 2 or pick 10 imo. He’s probably not going past the first 5 picks or the crows, so while maybe we get a shot at him, I doubt it. I reckon west coast might be looking at him

I was intrigued to hear cal twomey suggest he looked like Jordan Dawson on the podcast. Everywhere else seemed to suggest burst out of the stoppage mid

I actually had him compared more to the Bont, which I know is a huge comparison. But size wise, his left foot kicks and his ability to go forward and score all reminded me of the Bont.

I think there's a strong chance he's at our pick if we get pick 7/8. I think that's his range.

Ashcroft, Wardlaw, Sheezel, Tsatas will be the top 4. Then Hewett, Busslinger, Clark, Phillipou, Cam McKenzie and Aaron Cadman the next 6 to round up the top 10.

Biggest knock on Phillipou is his consistency but his championships have shown that he can perform at a good level at a stretch

I don’t believe bont is a very good comparison for Mattaes. Mattaes is much better in the air, I’m not sure they really play the same at all.

Tho any mid over 190cm who is quicker will always be compared to bont.

I like Holland. Im not sure why he isn't rated higher.

I like Hayes and Van Es. I'd be happy to get both of them.

Konstanty and Drury look good as small forwards although not traditional crumbing goal sneaks.

I like Lovelock and Walker as late picks from SA. Don't know why they aren't rated?

I actually think we could rebuild very quickly if we make aggressive and correct decisions at the end of the year...oh and get a new coach!

Where is Reuben Ginbey sitting on draft boards these days? He’d be a good midfield get for the Amon pick around 20 if we went tall with our first.

I also like Jed Hagan a lot.

Think we have a place for someone like Ginbey but Cowan would be the one I would be trying to get for that spot.
Cowan just genuinely hard at the ball.
