I still remember it like it was yesterday, not often you see 6 year olds running around with the big boys. :tearsofjoy:

He was a big strong kid.

Hey Macca19,

Two questions:
1. What's your list of favourite KPD prospects? Assume it's Busslinger, Hayes, etc...

2. Assuming Busslinger & Hayes are long gone, how many non-KPD players do you have on your list that you would pick at 33 before the next best KPD on your list? (Kobe Ryan before JVS in the BF draft).

can we get a talented local kid like the phillipou kid to withdraw from the draft and say he doesnt want to play anymore...then change his mind in march and play local league for the eagles then we pick him up in the mid year draft? that sounds like a legit plan to me.
Sounds like our dodgy beginnings, I like it, got a flag that way...

Favourite KPDs:

Busslinger
Adams
Hayes
Hustwaite

Gruzewski
Van Es
Weddle
Eyers
Phillips

Marshall
Davies

2nd Question - Ryan, Lemmey, Keeler, Clarke, Allan

Hustwaite going from a mid teens pick to looking a mid twenties would be more than interesting if continues to slide.
Has done absolutely nothing wrong during the year other than having people thinking too much about where he is best suited.
Would be a ridiculous pick up.
Could possibly play round 1 in defence.

WHILE the early part of this year's NAB AFL Draft has taken shape with a top group of prospects established, there is a variance of views on players thereafter.

On Thursday, AFL.com.au's October Phantom Form Guide listed the best 30 players of this year's draft in our view. But there were some unlucky prospects to miss out who have also been in the top-30 mix throughout the season.

Here's 10 of the next group, listed in alphabetical order, in the Phantom Form Guide extra edition, with clubs surveying the players and some still in the mix for the first round of the draft.

Thanks Macca. Thoughts on Brayden George if the knee injury causes him to slide all the way to us? Worth the risk?

Getting one of keeler or lemmey would be great for us.

I’m also a fan of Clarke. He’s the player we’ve been trying to turn mids into for years.

I haven’t watched adams but he sounds like a great fit for us.

Where are you sitting on Scully now?

Clarke is a player I can really see Parker liking, also Jacob Ryan, which would piss the port board off lol.

Closer to Brett Chalmers writing to clubs saying he’d stand out if they picked him (with the intention of getting to Collingwood).

For all of Bucky’s realpolitik, he was mainly incentivising Port boys to stay at Port amidst the uncertainty of whether we were joining in 1996 or 1997 due to the murky status of Fitzroy and the various proposed mergers.

Mostly little guys and a couple of mediums who are always hard to place, but interesting he has Keeler sliding out of his top 30.

If Keeler and Lemmey are available what's everyone's preference?
Lemmey for me and I would be glad Geelong didn't trade the Rat to us.

Made me look at Clarke's highlights. He's a good solid build, knows where the goals are and plays a bit angry.

Would fit in well.

Jacob Ryan would be good. Luke Teal would be good, but we have those types.

I still like Scully. Hes one dimensional but so are a few successful AFL forwards. Issue is weve got a lot of tall forwards now. Not against getting another but its not a priority

This is the weakest SA group for mine in some time

Yeah outside Phillipou there are big question marks over every other player imo.

I can see a few shock undrafted names

Clarke would be amazing, but i just cant see him still being there

I’m shocked people seem to have Konstanty above Clarke. Clarke looks made for the modern game. Konstanty reminds me of the high effort low ceiling guys that get drafted and fade into mediocrity. McHenry vibes from Konstanty. Clarke has the stuff we’ve been looking for. Offers that pressure forward, running, linkman between the midfield and forward while also actually having forward ability and understanding.

Probably won’t be available but he fills a list need for sure.
