Met with Port last week, but as mentioned earlier by the Coll poster… will need to get Hawthorn’s pick 24 if we really want him.

Absolutely but you could also say that about the draft as a whole. Every pick from 1-100 is a calculated gamble which may or may not make it.

We’re at the point with our list profile I think we should be looking to add 2 KPD ideally in the hope 1 of them does pay off and also someone who is ready to step straight up.

We need to take a KPD for sure.

But we also need to weight how we rate the players vs what players we need. Particularly at pick 33 where there is some chance a player we rate within the top 20 or so makes it to that pick.

I think the differences amongst the kpds likely to be available is relatively minimal. To the extent that at least a couple that we like will be available at our later pick. But that's just my opinion.

McKenna has nominated Brisbane. He would have been good to get as a Cat B but we have Burgoyne and Jones who can play a similar role.
It's amazing how Brisbane have become a destination club after being unable to hold anyone some years ago.

As been mentioned before, just imagine if someone told you on draft night last year that in a years time Port would have both JHF and Lemmey on their list.

Haha what are you on about mate? People on here are hoping to get Lemmey for 33… I simply pointed out Port are keen, but as already posted (by the Collingwood poster), Coll are into him for pick 27. Obviously if we wanted him, we would need a higher pick… which as we all know, isn’t going to happen. Wasn’t that difficult was it?

Doesn't really matter what he ends up as I just think his potential ceiling at either end is exciting.

I think there will be some bargains from Victoria. There were two seasons with stuff all football, training or like going outside. Anyone who had an interrupted season with injury this year is very difficult to judge.

I actually think it would work. Parkers based in vic so he might have been able to play kick to kick in the backyard.
