You can just put the code here like this:

Then it stays up to date.

There are also regular screenshots added to the linked thread if you prefer a screenshot – that way you don't crop off the link to the thread and the formatting isn't messed up.

Thanks - I expect one of our mods will fix the live version to the top of the page in due course...

Matt Rendell said on the radio this evening that this upcoming draft is crap! Said clubs are trying to trade out of this draft to load up on picks for the 2023 draft. Even said some clubs will only have 1 selection because it's that bad.

Probably why Port seemingly happy to trade out of it for Dunkley and Rioli?

Matt Rendell is all you had to say and the rest of your comment is no longer applicable 😂

It's not crap imo. I think the top 12 in the draft are capable of becoming stars of the competition for a long term. After that, it becomes even for the next 30 picks which doesn't necessarily mean it's crap

He went on to say its why there's was so many player trades on the cards this year.....swap picks for players because the draft is not rated by the list managers.

To be fair, without doing a HEAP of research into it. In the last 10ish years, picks 1-8~9 net you something pretty good. Then picks 13-80 you may find a success rate of about 12% of finding a player who plays 50 AFL games… if you’re not picking in the top few picks, get out.

- Hence why we need to hold on to pick 8.

Every draft is a strong draft until around a month beforehand.

We hear this s**t just about every year.. There's gems in every draft year.

Can only dream the Suns wil play hard ball.

The Suns are looking at the 2023 draft, with highly rated academy player Jed Walter eligible for next year.
Walter is a strong-marking teenager who is being touted as a top 10 future draft pick in 2023 and kicked 9 goals in 4 games in the National under 19 championships for the Allies.
Adelaide seem determined to hold this year's first and want to trade next year's out.

Probably because they believe they will improve more so next year and must think it's enough to say that 2022 pick 5 is worth more than there 2023 first.

I guess it's hard to tell as next year's top 10 vs this year's top 10 is hard to gauge, most people are saying next year is a stronger draft, although the top 5 tend to always be pretty solid.

If dunkley comes to port, western bulldogs may want our 2023 first since its supposedly a stronger draft.
I would like that on the proviso they flip something back.
What pick we get back in return could pay for Junior.

Or, Compo pick & Hayes for the Dunk

They may like this year’s pick to trade with Freo for Rory Lobb.

Yep so any kid in the Lions, Suns, Swans or Giants academies and are top 40, will be protected. The 4 northern clubs have effectively scrapped NGA's. They say NGA type kids are just part of their academies.

GWS has a southern NGA area, where footy is strong near the Vic boarder, which they have lost access to top 40 NGA players, but the rest of their zone is for their academy.

Bids on metropolitan-based Indigenous players tied to West Coast, Fremantle, Adelaide and Port Adelaide’s NGAs can’t be matched inside the top 40 selections, because its a numbers game and there aren't enough indigenous kids in Victoria, so to smooth the exercise, the WA and SA clubs only have access to country zoned indigenous kids.

So we could/should bid on Isaac Keeler or Max Michalanney this year?

Michalanney is father son so yes we can bid, so can others. What is Keeler's status.

Good top end. Little depth. It would probably be in the bottom 3 drafts of the last 10 years
