Yeah, but he is a Unicorn of the game. American. Not raised with the sport. Came in as a a bit of a novelty. Not super young to the game either, so not at all intimidated or influenced by the system that "trains" players to be media savvy from a young age, which equals - boring!

Ginnivan is a classic contemporary example of a society and system hellbent on wanting to sanitize character's from the game. Hope he continues to buck that trend.

its weird considering the media always talk about there not being enough personality in the game but whenever they show some like Ginnivan everyone goes after him, i also think thats abit of the Aussie culture coming into play aswell that doesnt like the big personalities, im surprised they havent gone after Mitch Robinson for all the social media stuff he does

Hopefully he is thinkimg about working on his marking around the ground, and contributing some goals. Like Gawn he is tall and mobile.

One thing from today. Iff you can make top 4, strike form with a near full list - there is a premiership to be had. Assuming Richmond make the 8, that is conceivably every team - eg. if St Kilda aren’t up to it, they won’t be finishing top 4. (Pies, Dogs and Suns certainly won’t be top 4)
