25 years since Jason Bargwanna did this at Forrest's Elbow.

Was going to attend for the first time since 1997 but the weather.....uggghhhh

Let's go you Swedish Commodores and win one for the dinky-di Aussies in the last ever Bathurst Holden race!!

Checking in!

Setup to be strapped into the couch all day for the great race.

This will be the first time I've done that since we lost the Falcon. Have been watching old clips on the you tube from the 70's and 80's and am fired up to watch again. Haven't been into motorsport much since our politicians decided we don't need to build cars anymore. Didn't realise this would be the last go around for the Commodore.

It will always be a great race, because it's a great track. Even taking your family SUV for a roll around the track as part of the Christmas time road trip gives you a little tingle. But it will be with a tinge of sadness with purely American iron duking it out from here on.

ETA: For today - the Porsche's showed it's not much conditions for sprinting. Keeping your nose clean and circulating all day will be the key. Will be lots of safely cars, so keeping on the lead lap should be doable. Just keep it on the black stuff until the pointy end!

With all the rain over the last three or four days I'll be a little disappointed if there isn't any rain today, hopefully not as bad as 1992, but a few showers over the course of race just to throw a bit of variety into today's race.
