I think that you are on the money here.

Knobel a clone of his Dad and Lemmy could be a true slider... was a projected first round pick last year...
was injured and ill this year and when he did get on the field... was played as a back not a forward

A good-sized key position player, Gruzewski is super competitive, versatile, courageous and tough. He has played a mixture of defence and has even spent time in the midfield with the Chargers in the NAB League, while featuring as a tall forward at school level with Caulfield Grammar. He was briefly part of the Vic Metro squad for the under-18 national championships after an impressive first four games of the year for the Chargers.

However, he went down a PCL knee injury while playing school football not long after and has missed most of the second half of the year, returning in the final round of the NAB League.

Gruzewski was then added back to the Vic Metro squad and played in the final game of the under-18 national championships against Vic Country as a forward, where he caught the eye with some big contested marks and kicked two goals.

Gruzewski is a smart decision maker and leader, has strong endurance and throws himself at the contest in the air to take a mark or get a spoil. When playing in defence, he reads the play well and is not afraid to leave his man and leap in front of a pack to take an intercept mark.

The mobile big man has booted 21 goals in nine SANFL under-18 matches this season, hitting the scoreboard every time he’s stepped out for the Redlegs. While still raw, Foster moves well and is terrific at ground level for a player of his size. But it’s his hands in the air that have really caught the eye this year, with the 17-year-old taking three contested marks in each of the first two national carnival matches. He’s hard to deal with one-out, but Foster is at his best when attacking the ball in the air.

Whatever picks we end up with, I would be using them on either talls or pacy smalls. Our track record with mids and medium-sized utilities isn't great.

Of all players we've drafted in the last 10 drafts the following have become best 22 players for either us or an opposition club:

No use just taking one and hopefully striking pay dirt. We’d probably have more of a chance if we invite 2 or 3 talls to do some of the preseason and then draft one if we think he’s okay. There is likely to be 5 or 6 that have fallen out and we could rookie/SSP list, if one shows enough.

Knobel is seen as a highly rated big and played well in the Vic v Vic game.

Lemmy was rated highly - sort of like sonsie prior to sliding down the rankings.

Your right. No point taking a tall for the sake of it. But if the clubs think one with decent potential is still there might be the go. More so if Soldo is leaving ( )

Bigoa Nyuon was taking +50 and looks alright, as an example
