i have not seen much of Olivier Northam - Geelong, but he seems decent and Ed Allan - Claremont could develop into a good player too potentially?
Alex Condon was sensational last weekend and could be the next Luke Jackson potentially? this is all very early though.

Pretty sure there were supposed to be a few talls in this year's draft too but some didn't come on as hoped. Long way to go before we get excited about kids for next year.

Just wondering what's the knock on Mac Andrew that he isn't more on our radar? Is it because he is too much of a hybrid ruck/forward or doesn't he get enough of the ball? Watched his highlights and with his marking and mobility it's very easy to picture him as a key position forward.
Everyone is saying that next year is the year of key forwards. Just because there are lots being mentioned doesn't mean that they are all going to be stars. I remember in 2006, that was supposedly a massive year for talls, well apart Riewoldt and Hawkins when compared to the hype the rest were busts. I have to admit though I'm a big get the spine right first kind of guy. In 2004 the Hawks surprised everyone by picking Roughhead over Tambling and that allowed Franklin to fall into their laps and the rest is history.
Anyhow whilst l really like what I have seen of Mac Arthur, either way I hope that we aren't blinded by the thought that we can overlook a great talent this year on the basis there is going to be more like him the following year. It doesn't always work out that way.

Mac Andrew is all potential and not much genuine performance. Think athletically a taller, skinnier Balta. Top end for him is a skinnier NicNat - so worth pick 1. But if he stays skinny and his footy tools don't develop much then he's unlikely to succeed in the AFL.
I'd guess that the recruiters reckon he'll get stronger, so that removes one big cross on him.
In the end I'd say why the Tigers aren't so into him is that we have a youngish Nank, Soldo, plus Ryan and Mate. We simply don't need that young ruck for another 5+ years right now.
As a tall forward he's pretty much uncertain. But his capabilities are amazing. I guess we reckon strike while the iron is hot to get good mids adn then recruit for a more proven KPF.
All of which is to say from my uneducated opinion Mac Andrew is exactly the sort you'd want if you need a future forward/ruck, and reckon you can turn potential into actual capability. Relatively high risk, very high reward type.

Lurking on the draft threads the consensus seems to be that there are currently about 6 KPs of genuine talent for next year. For comparison, last year they said that this was midfielder draft with about 3 talls likely. So not too far off what actually has happened.
And given that quite often a tall or 3 soars up the rankings in their draft year we might be looking at between 6 and 10 genuine quality talls for 2022. That would be an extremely large crop of talent.
This year the consensus is that Amiss and JVR and worth somewhere between 16-28 ish in a normal draft. They are talked of as going earlier simply because there aren't the high end talls usually available. So if the Tigers draft gurus think that these guys have a ceiling of B grade then why draft them early compared to guys with a ceiling of A grade - but shorter. Next year, if things work out as likely (no guarantee that happens) then we'll get a high end KPF with our first rounder, even if we win the premiership. But then who knows? If we get Green that will cost is our first rounder at minimum. Or something else might happen and any grand plans fall apart.

My name is Thanos not Jefferson, my kid has been playing with Matty since u9s, I have seen this kid dominate many games both club, school and TAC Cup. I wish my kid was as good.
Has he played any senior footy at club level? Even in the 2s?
Jack O'Sullivan appears to have dropped right out of the top 50. Story?
he was never in my top 50, i think edps might rank him higher, but as you might know we have different reads and PoV's on players at times.

I played against a guy named Sheezel in the Ammos who played for AJAX and was a top footballer in the late 90s. Wonder if that’s his kid on that list

Getting Gibcus with pick 9 was definitely the right move. Only one KPD in eDPS top 20 compared to 6 KPFs
