The only 2 players selected so far that I expected to go outside the top 30 were Max Michaelanny & Harry Rowston.
I also thought Jaspa Fletcher would go closer to 20 than to 10.
Bids are usually later than expected not earlier - I like it.

It looked a pretty underwhelming first round of picks tbh. No doubt will be some good players, couple of stars even, but not at all disappointed we traded out of it for Taranto

So our first pick has come in from 53>48 with the Davey Jnr bid still expected to come. Our next pick could actually end up becoming 53 anyway.
From what I read our first pick is now a 3rd round selection?

With these picks coming in and the club is as keen on Anthony Munkara as rumoured to be they may look to combine picks 48&53 to jump into the late 30’s to select him before Essendon are allowed to match. The rule is allowing Essendon to match anything after pick 40 for him.
Essendon currently have pick 25 and 49 left. With the Davey bids still to come.

Slightly disappointing that with the early bids a couple of selections slotted between our 2 picks (Lions 50, GWS 51). Even if they don't use the picks that be traded to other clubs.



The 2 Bomber picks will be swallowed up with a bid on Alwyn Davies Jnr after pick 25. The Hawks could lose a pick with a bid on Cooper Vickery. Strangely they might end with Ty Vickery instead

i think he will. he's the only player to actively want to go there in the top ten. bailey humphrey is the same for GC. expansion clubs have learnt their lesson. obviously a lot of water to go under the bridge however

Be interesting to see if we really do rate Munkara. Looking at the picks I wonder who would trade back to our #48? Are we able to trade a future 3rd or 4th? I wonder if we go to the dogs if Munkara isn't picked at #39 and said we'll swap our #48 & a future 4th. Can then still pick a Scully or Petric at #55.
