Keeler would want to be really bad for us not to take him. Perfect size, athletic, from our SA hunting ground, and likely to be available after our first pick.

The knock on him is that he goes missing a lot

Will be interesting to see how we rate Jefferson. PMBangers has Melb taking him just before us at 14. Clubs ahead of them are unlikely to take him, gws, eagles (wa boys likely), dogs etc have young forwards. If we rate him, we may try and trade up ahead of Melb at 14. Wonder if eagles would trade 16 and 27 for 13 or something along those lines. Again, all depends if we rate him or not

I'm not a huge fan. He goes missing a lot in games and can tend to spray some of his kicks. His body is way off senior football and he doesn't get a lot of possessions. Melbourne can have him, we would be better off taking a risk on Keeler or Hayes at 16 and lemmey at 25

But is all that things that can be improved upon? I know nothing about him but all I care about in KPF is potential for development. If kicking and size are his weaknesses that can be remedied. Seems to have good leap, overhead mark etc. The biggest issues I’ve seen in failures such as weideman and Schache is Competitiveness. Not saying we will go for him, just be interesting to see I guess. I guess McMahon had a good leap and overhead mark to… we have some interesting pick ranges regarding our needs. 16 Jefferson prob won’t be there, 25 and 27 neither will keeler. Maybe the club aren’t interested in either

seen a few videos of him where he looks disinterested if he gets beaten or ball isn’t delivered as he likes. not convinced on him, prefer Lemmeys highlights and attitude to the contest. Want an aggressive key position player

Be interesting if we nominate Voulanis or Ashwin with a view to using them as second cat b rookie
Pretty sure you can only nominate NGA/ Father-sons that you nominate for the combine, so Voulanos would be ineligible based off that

If Jefferson is available he is a must get... 15 year forward in the right development system which we now possess.
Jefferson is possibly the most interesting first round prospect. Most draft experts seem to have him rated between 10 and 15 best overall in the draft making it not beyond the realms of possibility that he gets through to us at 16 (or wherever it sits after the f/s). He is also considered the second best key forward behind Cadman and so it’s also not beyond the reals of possibility that he could jump up into the top 5 if someone after GWS wants to fill that position.

With 4 senior list spots available, we either go with 3 live picks + upgrade noble. Which doesn't bode well for both madge and poulter.
Or 2 + noble, and keep one of the two remaining out of contract.
I suspect even if we plan to go 2 + noble we may still delist both Madge and Poulter to keep the option open to take a third in case someone we like slips which is possible given the lack of underage exposed form of this draft class. We may also want to keep a list spot open for the mid season draft seeing as we seem to be really good at those.

I suspect we’ll try and turn 16, 25 and 27 into two picks whether it’s to turn 25 and 27 into a pick in the teens or to shift 16 up the order (we may also use 25 or 27 to get a second round pick next year).

I think it will be a shame if we delist Poulter because I think he’s shown enough to suggest there is something there and I’m sure if we delist him someone will pick him up. But at the same time I think the wing spot where he’s mostly played to date is an area where we have a bit of depth so I could see us sacrificing him for that flexibility to strengthen another area.

Why isn't Keeler top 10? Because instead of running through a brick wall he'd try and jump over it. Athletic freak but gets through entire games without touching someone even when he's in the ruck!

Yeah lack of physical contact is another ive heard about him.

I’m leaning towards packing up with eagles to get him. I think he posesses good traits of a KPF. I know there some doubts. B

I assume Eagles are taking Busslinger and someone else. Do they risk missing out on one of their guys if they trade back with us?
