Most teams are looking to trade up this year not down. There is no chance we get pick 10 for picks 25 and 27. Ignore the points they are more then irrelevant. I dont see us getting a pick around 15 either. A pick around 18 would be the best we could do with both of those picks. But GWS dont want extra picks in this draft they have to many already. So I dont see them doing a deal.with us. The most likely deal would be pick 25 or 27 for a future 2nd. North dont have many picks this draft, so I would target their future 2nd. Maybe we can target Essendon's future 2nd as well once the Davey matching is done we swap our pick 27 for their future 2nd to give them a pick this year or like as been suggested get 22 for 27 and 51 because they want points for Davey.

Yep don't think we can really trade up and looking at the mock drafts, our list needs (KPP) are likely to be around our range of picks anyway.

Would definitely make getting a high second rounder next year a priority so should target trading out one of our Pick 25/27 for one of Ess/Hawks/North second rounders next year. All 3 of them have a bit of a gap this year between their first rounders and their next live pick (generally around the 40s) so a pick in the 25-27 range should appeal.

We can then take two developing KPP with our Pick 16 and one other in the 20s (Hayes + Lemmey?), and be in a stronger position next year.

Lewis Hayes, Harry Lemmey, Tom Scully, Isaac Keeler and Ethan Phillips - it's really a matter of who's available and who we like the most.

Consider Phillips. He was unlukcy not to be selected in the MSD and is worth taking the risk given he could be anything. Here's his RookieMe profile: Ethan Phillips.

Hewett would be a good get if he slides to 16. You would think it is unlikely though

Hustwaite seems a bit slow and outside to use a top 30 pick on

I'm in two minds about taking midfielders. Like, we have so many we could easily boycott drafting a single one and just focus on height at KPP.

I like D'Aloia. He has comes from a chess background and is a good kid - not someone who is going to cause trouble. Also, beautiful midfielder who is being talked down. All the more for us to swoop in and take him.

Cowan is another prospect who is strong but he'll go first round or very early second.

Word is we like Lemmey - I just hope it extends to Scully as well. 204cm can't be ignored and we do need another ruck.

Keeler is reliant on uncontested marks. No, thank you. He gives me Ceglar vibes.
Not one of your better calls, who would you suggest we take? Will it be Jefferson who is 74kg wringing wet and doesn't get to enough contests? If you expect a big strong Key Forward then you will be disappointed with Jefferson, he's years away from becoming that, if he actually does get to that size. Keeler is not an uncontested forward, he's quite capable of taking a pack mark and can pinch hit in the ruck. With a pre season behind him he would get games next year

Here's the Pies section:

COLLINGWOOD

Draft picks: 16, 25, 27, 51

List needs: Key forward, key defender, ruckman

Who could be available at first pick: Matthew Jefferson, Lewis Hayes, Olli Hotton, Ollie Hollands

Who’s in the mix after that: Brayden George, Isaac Keeler, Harry Barnett, Charlie Clarke

The Magpies addressed many of their immediate list needs through the trade period, adding Tom Mitchell, Dan McStay, Billy Frampton and Bobby Hill. This draft will be about looking to the future, with a lot of key senior players including Scott Pendlebury (34), Jeremy Howe (32), Steele Sidebottom (31), Mason Cox (31), Jamie Elliott (30), Brody Mihocek (29) and Taylor Adams (29) not getting any younger. Tall forward Matthew Jefferson would be handy if he slips down the order more than expected, while Lewis Hayes could also appeal as a key defender. South Australian key forward Isaac Keeler could come into the frame in the second round, as could ruckman Harry Barnett.

Latest word: The Pies have indicated they might look for a ruckman through the draft or over summer for back-up as they look to a future which now doesn’t include Brodie Grundy.

Nothing too new or insightful

- Hustwaite could go much higher than our picks. His brother is unlucky not to be on a list and I think if he were available, we'd consider him.

Elijah Hewett has some weaknesses including a go-home risk factor. Given our best 23 will be likely comprised of no first year players, I wouldn't be taking the risk on him.

I watched his highlight videos and he doesn’t take any (or many) contested marks. The reports on his mention contested marking is an issue.

Lemmey excites me!

I think if you can get an elite mid, we should consider it. Plus I don’t agree with us having a plethora of midfielders.
Pendles, Sidebottom, Adams & T.Mitch need replacing in the next few years. I have big hopes for Macrae & Draper.

Can easily see D’Aloia or Cowan slip to our picks in the late 20’s.

My dream scenario given our picks at the moment would be Hewett, Lemmey and D’Aloia.

Jefferson is 84 kg

It's one to watch. If we did draft a mid, it wouldn't be the end of the world.

I know, I was being imprudent. People on here have been crying out for a big bodied, contested marking beast and he ain't it
How could they not be happy with McStay!

But unfortunately none of the KPFs this year are bringing that to date, although I think Jefferson is the best contested mark of the bunch

I irony of you telling someone they haven't made a great call then in the same breath you say Jeffereson doesn't get to enough contests when that's exactly what he does! All the National championship games are on the AFL website, there's no reason people can't watch them and educate themselves.

What exites you about D'Aloia? Seems to me he can't spread and that kicking is awful, straight legged and stabby. He'll slip past our picks and right to the end of the draft.

Apparently the 2 we are really interested in are Lemmy 199cm tall forward from Adelaide and Barnett 203cm Ruckman. Apparently best Ruck option in the draft and both should be available between picks 16 and 27.

So see what happens at least they are trying to address our needs KP forward and Ruckman. All we need now is a young KP Backman.

You'd think both would be available. Although, wouldn't surprise me if they weren't.

I imagine:
Pick 16 - Hayes (KPD)
Pick 25 - Barnett (unless crows take him)
Pick 27 - Lemmey (KPF)

If we take 3 picks
