19. Collingwood - Lewis Hayes - Eastern Ranges (VIC)
The younger brother of Port Adelaide's Sam, Lewis Hayes is a rapidly improving key defender and one of this draft's youngest. A high-volume intercept marking key defender, Hayes involves himself regularly as a rebounder from defence. He demonstrates tidy skills and displays great mobility for someone his height.

27. Collingwood - Brayden George - Murray Bushrangers (VIC)
A strong-bodied, powerful forward, George plays a high impact-per-possession game. He hurts opponents by foot around the ground and does not need to find a lot of the ball to hit the scoreboard heavily. Proficient both overhead and at ground level, George is a marking threat one-on-one, aerially and on the lead, while at ground level he is a one-touch player and a powerful contested ball winner.

A strong ball-winning midfielder, Szybkowski is one of this draft's better inside distributors, with his work by hand arguably the best in the draft. Possessing good speed, Szybkowski spreads well from stoppages, covers a lot of ground, displays agility, and, when given the time and space, places his kicks accurately out in front of targets.

An athletic ruckman, Verrall follows up well at ground level and is a contested marking force around the ground. With his strength one-on-one, strong contested marking capabilities and how early he reads the drop of the ball, Verrall while he has played most of his football as a ruckman may develop best as a key defender.

Plenty of clubs looking for key backs, no hope for Busslinger and a big chance Hayes is gone too.

Yeah but you also go for best available in the first round, so plenty of others will go with mids/forwards

Max King did his ACL in his draft year. So did Elijiah Hollands.

Its not the end of the world. Just you have to take a long term view of the player.

keeler doesnt look like he will definately make it as an afl player to me

seen a lot of low intensity talls look good in patches but never really come on

Keep an eye out for Szybkowski to be a potential pick at #27. We may end up trading it/upgrading, but Pies are really into him and he's a Pies fan.

Reminds me at least in playing style to a shorter (much) Paddy Cripps. His perfectly weight handballs out in front of teammates are a thing of beauty.

I read something that Crows had spoken to Barnett a few times and were keen on him. They dont really have a good developing ruck. But thats a moot point now.
They have just nominated that FS prospect

Chief blocked the links to KM’s espn articles because he was posting them instead of manually inputting his power rankings/phantoms to BF.

It was a childish, dick move imo, and resulted in KM not posting on BF anymore, hence no almanac for 2022 on the D&T board.

He should have gotten someone else to post them. Advertising your own stuff on another site is crossing a line.

I think it's more about their list size and contract status.

I believe they need to upgrade Butts and Strachan which only leaves one list spot available.

If someone offered you Petracca for pick 16 you’d take him.

Like Jen said, you have to take a long term view. Injury history can be a tiebreaker, but you generally pick the best kid, and if not, then the best kid in your position of need.
