I didnt know Jack Hayes had a brother playing NAB?

Lewis Hayes - (Eastern) - 197cm 81kg - high disposal KPD, interceptor, possibly the best KPD in the pool? beat opponents for VM all carnival, brother of StKilda Hayes, good defensive abilities, spoils ect, high DE% kicking, so good and careful disposal, likely 1st round
Get him. Siblng rivalry is the stongest force in the galaxy.

He’s playing for Eastern in VIC and Jack is from SA.

Story on AFL site suggests he’s the brother of Port Adelaide ruckman Sam Hayes.

I don't think they are related.

Yeah, he is, that's funny that they got that wrong. Sam was meant to go top 10 and drifted out until he nearly didn't get picked up. I was pissed off that we didn't take a chance on him. Hopefully his brother drifts out too.

Honestly this off season can correct a lot of issues if used properly.

Nas can go to Port for Bergman and Hayes +/-
Hill can go to Norff for pick 20
Highmore out too
Grab a KPD or two
Trade for a top end mid or hit the draft

Losing Hanners, Gears, Paddy, Hill, Kent will open massive SC room to front load a few contracts too.

Port are still interested in Lewis. From what I remember, the family would like to see them both at either us or somewhere like Hawks (don't quote me on that part).

Luckily for us, a win won't make any difference to where our draft pick is this year.

As good as last year's round 23 win was, in the end it cost us Josh Gibcus, who would have been a perfect fit for us.

I haven't followed the draft near as closely as usual, but it seems like we may once again just be at the point where we just miss that top end talent that would really suit our needs.

Welcome back buddy!!! Good to have you back!!!

I think we're odds on to take Cam Mckenzie, tbh acadmeny or not. Trained with the club, local and and what we need.
Hearing this a lot. Looks like a real player so fingers crossed!

Would like to see both these Hayes brothers end up back at St Kilda. Make it a Hayes haven - Lenny, Jack, Sam & Lewis all at the Saints in 2023!

On the phantom drafts, I see McKenzie at 8, 17, but mostly not mentioned.

They seem to change a lot as players rise and fall, he's managed to stay stubbornly around pick 6 from what I've read. If he drifts out he looks like a very solid citizen and I feel like academy kids hit the seniors ready to play from their time inside AFL clubs. There are a few more around that look a bit more exciting but higher risk. McKenzie looks like the type that would be at least a good player and you'd feel very safe at our first pick.I'd be pretty happy with that.

Bailey Humphrey looks like a freak and one if he fell to us could be something very very special.

8. Bailey Humphrey (Victoria Country - Gippsland Power)

A possible draft bolter, Bailey Humprey after missing Vic Country's first three Under-18 Championships matches due to knee surgery went BANG on return for Gippsland with 31 disposals, 14 contested possessions, 12 marks (four contested) four goals, five behinds and two score assists.

Humprey is not a one game wonder with 20 disposals, seven inside 50s, four goals and two score assists for Gippsland against Sydney's Under-18s and 23 disposals, 14 contested possessions, eight clearances and three goals against Murray further supporting this ranking.

The appeal with Humphrey is his capacity to impact games forward or centre and through the midfield as one of this year's dual position impact players. As a forward, Humphrey is a contested marking force and is exceptionally strong over the ball when it hits the ground, while through the midfield he is a powerful contested ball winner who uses his strength to advantage at stoppages to break tackles at will. Humphrey's position of No. 8 on this draft board is likely to be unique at this stage though may not be for long if he continues adding to his resume with further eye-catching performances.

July Ranking: Outside-20

According to the NAB League app, Bailey Humphrey had 11 disposals and 4 goals against the Dandenong Stingrays in a 4 point loss yesterday.
4 marks amd 6 tackles. Not sure what happened in the game, but it seems like he played a lot more forward of centre than previous matches going by the stats.
He sounds a bit like Degoey based on what I've read, which isn't a bad thing. Especially if he only imitates him on the field.
