We pass
Saints = pass
It would appear they have other plans for the extra list spot other than Stocker.
So… after all the waiting, we pass, so it’s just McLennan…What a difference a couple of solid drafts makes…
The current U23s;
B: Connolly - Van Es - Coffield*
HB: Clark* - Adams - Sharman
C: Wang.-Mil. - Owens - Byrnes
HF: Hotton - Allison - Phillipou
F: Peris - King - Keeler
Foll: Heath - Bytel - Windhager
*Coffield and Clark being the next two youngest.
Sure, they’re mostly unproven, and there’s a few that seem a fair way off it so far, but geez there’s some cause for optimism in 2021/22 draft crops…
Couldn't agree more.Yep.
I fully expect us to go with Stocker early in the new year and then leave a spot open for the mid season draft, possibly to grab a mature ruck option if RoMa or Campbell go down and we are pushing into finals.
Top shelf off season for the club.
Have overhauled the coaches, the support staff, the development program and (on paper) have nailed the list management and drafting.
Would have loved to see what Benny Long could do under Ross Lyon but will wear that loss given he's getting paid well at the Suns and we snagged Olli Hotton with the pick.
What a huge contrast from just a few weeks ago when I legitimately felt at the absolute rock bottom in my support and enjoyment for the club.
Incredible what a bit of professionalism can do!

You have an entirely valid point ... fact is, we need to be regularly pulling 40K+ into Marvel to justify getting more games at the 'G ... been a while since we did that with any consistency.This is like the 6th reply being mildly defensive about a throwaway line about big games.
We don’t have Anzac Day, Easter Monday, Queens BDay, Season opener etc etc. That’s all.
Yes we have a diehard loyal supporter base, yes when we were rolling 10 years ago Friday/Saturday nights at colonial were “the s**t” but if a draftee is saying they were built for the big stage and big games in Melbourne you’ll forgive me and every other afl supporter if we don’t immediately think St.Kilda over Collingwood, Richmond, Carlton at the G with 80k.
When we win games/have successful seasons, we generally get good crowds as a rule of thumb.You have an entirely valid point ... fact is, we need to be regularly pulling 40K+ into Marvel to justify getting more games at the 'G ... been a while since we did that with any consistency.
More than anything, we've got to have a program which gives us half a chance, otherwise we might as well consider ourselves as the feeder club for the big Melbourne clubs because everyone worth a damn is going to bugger off at the first opportunity.

All very true and I am very confident that we can triple our premiership tally in our next 150 yearsYep.
