Brisbane been top four or close for the last five years and get handed clearly the best player in this years draft.

I think the father-son like the NGA (which didn't need cutting back), should be off limits to a free hit, to say the first five picks. Would of meant Daicos and Ashcroft went to North where they should be. While teams who develop their NGA are not cut off from bidding on their own talent within reason.

Just need to make them pay proper value from the appropriate round.
Ashcroft should cost Brizzy their FRDP, Future FRDP and 2ndRDP in that order.

I still think it's to strong a play they get the best player while contending for the flag. Isn't the whole point that the bottom team gets the best player and so on? North supporters should be pissed.

It's next to impossible to have a fair system with built in compromises. If you want the FS rule, which I like, you can only try and even the ledger as best you can. My suggestion would cost them plenty enough to take a bight out of their overall intake of youth.

Victoria Metro and Victoria Country will clash for the 2022 NAB AFL National Championships U18 Boys title at Marvel Stadium on Thursday September 22 from 12:35pm.

The match will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and streamed at AFL.com.au. Entry to the match is free, with Gate 5 to open at 12:00pm.

Both sides are undefeated heading into the final match of the Championships, with the winner of Thursday’s game to take out this year’s title, which will be the first awarded since 2019.

The match will feature a host of the top prospects ahead of the 2022 NAB AFL Draft.

He was the next Rooey before the start of the season. Classic lead up marking forward and looked the business. Now he's scraping into the top 50. Perhaps a Sam Hayes type. Cadman and Jefferson deserve to be the best of the KPFs but I thought he might have drifted out to the second round not off the radar.

Foxfooty.com.au says: Produced an eye-catching 2021 campaign that has put him in first-round calculations for 2022. D’Aloia claimed the Alan Stewart Medal as best afield in the Eagles’ Under 18 grand final win over Glenelg with 29 disposals, eight clearances and a goal. He got a taste of SANFL reserves level too and had 22 disposals against Norwood on debut. A genuine inside midfielder that has great stoppage craft.



HARRY LEMMEY

Club: West Adelaide/South Australia

Position: Key forward

Size: 199cm, 93kg

Champion Data player comparison: Brody Mihocek

Champion Data says: Lemmey’s marking was a strength across his seven SANFL 18’s matches last season, rated above average for both marks and forward 50 marks among key forwards.
Foxfooty.com.au says: Arguably the top key-position prospect of this year’s class, Lemmey looms as a player that will be taken at the pointy end of the draft. He had a taste of SANFL league action last year, featuring in two matches late in the season and kicking one goal in each game. He’s a terrific size for a key forward, but he also possesses a great skill set, highlighted by his excellent kicking ability. Recruiters are keen to see Lemmey make the most of his athleticism and mobility by spending more time in the ruck this season. All things going to plan, he’s likely to join Aaron Francis, Izak Rankine, Will Day and Riley Thilthorpe as West Adelaide products to be taken in the first round. Oh, and he’s a Crows fan.

Not sure if this bloke has been spoken about much - have been watching a bit of the SA U18's throughout the year......notes from last weeks GF (Scouting Notes: 2022 SANFL U18s Grand Final)

#4 Archie Lovelock

The form player of the competition claimed the Alan Stewart Medal as best on ground in the Under 18 decider. Lovelock was everywhere in the middle and at half-forward, and when the Bays got on their run in the third term, it was Lovelock who took a mark deep inside 50 and nailed just their third goal of the game. The classy midfielder had the ball on a string, winning it in congestion but also getting his hands to it away from stoppages and in general play where he was able to use his clean skills to hurt the opposition. Alongside his 35 possessions, Lovelock took eight marks (two contested), laid seven tackles, won five clearances, seven inside 50s and five rebounds in a scintillating performance to cap off a terrific year across multiple levels.
