Euston classic case of being drafted by the wrong side. Whispers at the time were that he was better than all of them and a standout at the championships

Unless they have a FS the points don't mean much. They would be hoping that we finish bottom 8 if they give up a pick for a future pick. If we gave our pick 10 to Carlton for pick 47 and a future first, I would be in the shits about it.

They don't mean much but are a helpful guide as to the value of exchanging picks.

Yes, that is the point I was making... it's a calculated risk for both parties. One hoping a team will fall in a hole & the other hoping they have a cracking year & have only given up a late 1st.

You wouldn't have the shits if that future first ended up being a top 7 pick though would you?

i don't understand why the NGA rules are being diluted to in a few years it will be gone. Clubs pt in a lot of effort to bring new potential players in, and yet they will get no reward.

Because they were totally unfair and made a mockery of the draft system.
Apart from that they were fine.

I just looked at the Hawks draft profile and it basically says too slow and no right foot. So turns out he was a slightly less good Mitchell (who ended up being a generational player) unlucky for him.

Always thought there was something in a name .... and a name like Henry Hustwaite doesn't really do it for me

I mean The Hust is not as cool as The Bont or The Trac

CMac works as does the The Pou and the The Bear (as in Humphrey) .... throw in The Cheese (Sheezel) and Buttlicker also

Tsatas doesn't oil my pistons nor does Cadman or Ashcroft as names

Phoenix Foster has some coolness about it but maybe too cool for its own good ....like Blaine Boekhorst or Dillon Viojo Rainbow or Khan Haretuku or Giovanni Mountain-Silbery

Marcus Windhager though ..... flipping A .... enough nerdness with the first name to soften the insane coolness of the surname

Imagine the team huddle at breaks though...it'd be worth going to games alone just for that. Bring in a whole new type of crowd. Trip balls on San Pedro and watch the Saints take us to heaven, or the depths of our psych and inner trauma. Every game...a rebirth.
