List Mgmt. 2022 Draft Thread - Part I

Our first pick looks to be in a really nice area, should end up with a good player there. From my limited viewing I'd love Phillipou but CMac, Tsatsas if he falls they all look like guns.

The next two picks are the critical ones, as Ross said yesterday you can set yourself up in two or three drafts, last year's was a bounty, with the two second rounders if we can nail them we could have a great crop of youth in just two drafts. Picks 28 and 32, that's where the recruiters will earn their money.

Interesting comments from Mofra's phantom.
I'm growing less hopeful of landing Cmac each day but even with Buzz sliding we get a good player which is reassuring.
If we lose out on Cmac I'm pretty ambivalent TBH. I'd like to get Keeler and improve later picks so possible trades with the Swans, Giants and West Coast.

Pick 8 - Geelong - Cam MacKenzie
The Saints finally develop a gun mid who gets drafted inside the top 10. Unfortunately the saints don’t get him because the football gods are utter bastards when it comes to St Kilda. Geelong seem to do well with footballers named Cam.

Pick 10 - St Kilda - Mattaes Phillipou
Slips as he “interviews poorly” which is a stupid reason for a kid to fall down the order. You’re drafting footballers, not Ray Martin. His dad played for the Bulldogs and with all their father son success over the years, the Saints find a way to game the system and finally nail a first rounder.

Pick 22 - GWS - Jedd Busslinger
Slides in my view because he was a spectator as Jefferson kicked 7 in the Vic M vs WA game. Kicks the ball well but double-grabs marks too often for my liking. Positioning is excellent though.
Mofra's phantom is a bit of a piss take and not at all how others think the draft will go. You only need to read his intro and the comments of others to realise this. I wouldn't put any credence in it.

I know west coast are interested in him and the pou. If Essendon do the pou I reckon west coast take him. We will still get a good mid but I really want cmac. Just seems like it meant to be.

Dodoro is inside his personal office working on it as we speak.

There seems to be a few options at our pick.
1 all the kids are off the table and we're left with Holland's ginbey or busslinger.
2 one or two of CMAC pou maybe tsatas or Humphries are there.

Either way I really think we need to push hard for Carlton's first. Even the worst option of Ginbey or Holland's and busslinger is going to be worth it.

Wonder if the guys we want are off the board and Humphrey is available do we trade with Sydney. Hustwaite looks a good pick a 14 and maybe Lewis Hayes.

He looks everything we need. Mid/forward that kicks goals, classy by hand and foot and can provide a marking option around the ground as a mid. Want. Wouldn’t be disappointed with cmac either though.
Phillipou looks too good to last to our pick. Surely he goes in the top seven or so come draft night.

Hope we have a look at Anthony Munkura at pick32 or better still some how upgrade pick 47 to 39 with the doggies, just so we can dodo the dodo, definitely has a bit of x factor, that we are overdue for.
