Yea as the realistic options I’m leaning towards Mckenzie & Busslinger in that order. Humphries the pipe dream if we move up the order. I have a feeling he will be a real star. Phillipou’s highlights look great & theres the Bont comparisons but I’m thinking bust. Gut feeling only. There is something about Barry Humphries. I reckon he could be a real star type. He's less safe bet but higher ceiling. Phillipou looks decent though too. Agree on McKenzie, he reminds me of one of the Swans guys who does everything well but not really flashy.
But he’s got a sik mulletFor those loving the B Bear, beware…
We complain about our conversion in front of goal, and big talent that he is, that’s where he has a major issue.
He could be a star, but he could also seriously frustrate.
Fully sick.But he’s got a sik mullet

I’m inclined to pass him on specifically because of what I’ve seen from Mitch Owens. Imo very simmilar type players. Can’t have too many average kicks. For those loving the B Bear, beware…

Very ordinary kick judging from his youtube highlights.. just is not clean at all..I’m inclined to pass him on specifically because of what I’ve seen from Mitch Owens. Imo very simmilar type players. Can’t have too many average kicks.
stavro#4 where is the Twomey mail? Would be interested in listening if it was an interview
Yep same , on the one hand he could be Degoey but on the other hand I fear he’s Nathan Wright with more midfield ability. When kicking is your weakness. Espescially when the technique is so poor it can really put a ceiling on the player.Very ordinary kick judging from his youtube highlights.. just is not clean at all..
Would prefer Mckenzie.
Philippou has big upside too

Bombers' pick four plans, could Pies make a move?

Yeah I reckon if they miss ginbey they will take cmac knowing busslinger will still be there at 12. Reckon we end up with the pou. Can’t really decide which one I would prefer. That video says Cameron McKenzie linked to West Coast & St Kilda.
I just downloaded, it's a great piece of workThe RookieMe/Draft Central full draft guide is out.
I encourage everyone to get their hands on it for the low low price of their email address.
I think it would be a massive risk hoping Busslinger is still available at 12. I think he would be pretty high on the Dogs & our list. Hollands is the other one expected to go around our pick. Blues rumoured to be keen & I thought someone on here said we are also keen. Looks a very neat player.Yeah I reckon if they miss ginbey they will take cmac knowing busslinger will still be there at 12. Reckon we end up with the pou. Gee that would be a stretch for them.Yeah I reckon if they miss ginbey they will take cmac knowing busslinger will still be there at 12. Reckon we end up with the pou. Can’t really decide which one I would prefer.
West Coast have never had any major issues with player retention though.Gee that would be a stretch for them.
He wouldn’t really move the needle and justify moving back from 2 for them.
Atleast with the WA boys they are locked in for the next 10 years. No go home issues etc.
Johnson went another 7ish picks behind Chesser though.West Coast have never had any major issues with player retention though.
They took Chesser last year over Johnson.
I think their first selection is still very much up in the air.
I think our future midfield could really do with a Callum Mills type playmaker. McKenzie is my #1 preference. There is something about Barry Humphries. I reckon he could be a real star type. He's less safe bet but higher ceiling. Phillipou looks decent though too. Agree on McKenzie, he reminds me of one of the Swans guys who does everything well but not really flashy.
Surely we don’t avoid a midfielder with our first pick for the 15,000th time. This rebuild has been long enough.
Add keeler. Think this guys upside is undeniableMy wants with our picks are this
1. Phillipou (risk a bust to maybe get a superstar)
2 hopefully we can pull off a trade to also pick up McKenzie. That way we get consistency and dynamics with both of the first picks.
3. P28 Brayden George. Probably won't slide this far but I can dream.
4. Pick 32 Darcy Jones. Small but looks a jet and a real goer.
Probably all of the above is a pipe dream but who knows.

We took a wingman/HF/HB (in Gallagher’s own words) with our first pick last year and then two guys who look exciting but we all said the same about Billings, Acres, Dunstan, etc. We’ve made life hard enough trying to build a premiership midfield with picks in the 30’s-50’s we need to get out of that habit.Realistically the best midfielders available at our pick will be possibly McKenzie and most likely Hollands, based on availability. If McKenzie is gone, which is a decent enough chance, Hollands might be a slight reach and may go against selecting best available. Busslinger might be the better option and also addresses a need. Also need to remember we took 3 mids with our first 3 picks last year.
I'm not disagreeing that we need to find elite mids. But that doesn't mean you pick a mid just for the sake of it. Realistically, the top end mids will all be gone before our pick. I would love McKenzie but he's 50/50 to be available. Hollands is the next rung down and will probably be there for us. Or do we pick a guy like Phillipou who isn't a mid but we hope can transition to the midfield (see Billings). We took a wingman/HF/HB (in Gallagher’s own words) with our first pick last year and then two guys who look exciting but we all said the same about Billings, Acres, Dunstan, etc. We’ve made life hard enough trying to build a premiership midfield with picks in the 30’s-50’s we need to get out of that habit.
