I’m keen on Darcy Edmonds. Reminds me a bit of Hunter Clark. Left his best for the end of the season. And had a great championship. Very good user, good runner probs needs to get more of it but one I think could be a bit of a bolter.

Really like this kid. Has played KPF, ruck AND KPD, but settled as a KPD this year.

Overaged, and very light, but a super versatile piece of the overall puzzle.

Could be anything. Love his intercept numbers. At 83kg a stiff breeze would cause him some issues atm.

Afl app has got a little interview with McKenzie. Talented and interesting kid. But the afl has really dropped the ball with there draft coverage this year. I really liked the road to the draft podcast and it has just stopped. Hard to find all the goss without it

I'd do our future 1st + 47 (or even 32) for 14 + 17

Same with the GWS picks at 15 + 18/19

I think bringing in another 2 or 3 players under RTB would be huge.

They won’t do it for a future. Sydney want to get into this years draft

Maybe 2023 1st & 47 for Carlton's pick 11.

Gets us into the convo for Cmac & Matteas... gives them 2 firsts in the 'super' draft.

They want to trade up or trade out into next years.

But probably not both picks.
I wonder why they would be prepared to do that? Who or what do they have in mind for next year?

That said what it would take to get one of their 2022 picks? Our 2023 1st round (speculative 8-14) plus what??? Or if our choices are gone at pick 10, could that some how get involved?

If the Swans are looking at trading up I dare say it's for a gun outside mid.

Their best 18 looks almost set and forget but they had issues on the wings, rotating the likes of Stephens, Gulden, McInerney, Florent... They couldn't quite find that running piece and relied heaps of Blakey and Lloyd from half back.

Given they then got carved up by Isaac Smith in the GF I think their focus is squarely on getting a set and forget wing option.

I would be unhappy if we took a deal like that its not great for Carlton

I wonder if our "new' off field dream team could improve Jovan's conversion, the article says he kicked 26 goals 21 behinds. Imagine the frustration if we drafted him and when he got a game Jovan and Max were spraying the pill all around the goal face.

I'm going to have another crack at our 4 picks in the draft:

Firstly, just want to add, that I'm not keen on Bailey Humphrey or Matt Jefferson with our 1st.

1. Think we go Cam MacKenzie, because he's NGA, but if not available,
Then Elijah Hewett, anyone compared to Martin & Patracca, is a sure bet for mine.
2. Tough choice here, would go with, Jakob Ryan (blonde mullet =cult figure) Is versatile & at this stage is good on the flanks, but down the track when he gets physically stronger, could play inside. Smooth mover, elite kick, good vision & a good reach, in his marking.
3. Ethan Phillips- we really need instant back-up for our key defenders, or this guy, could actually replace one of them, pretty quickly.
4. Phoenix Foster- even though he was a monster in the U18 comp. this guy throws himself at marks & sticks, unlike Tom Scully for example.
And puts himself in brave positions. Accurate kick at goal, even his field kicking looks good & is mobile for his size.
And pick him up before the 'Tigers' do.

Rookies from:

Seth Campbell
Brandon Leary
Noah Long
Rye Penny
Jonti Schuback

I know I’ve said it before but my god McKenzie reminds me so much of David Mundy. His kicking for one, but also how upright he stands when runs and ability to be and an under but also a quality runner.

Henry Husthwaite is a Saints fan that seems like a cross between Hunter Clark and a bloody giraffe. That neck will the subject of many jokes over his afl career.

Hope he makes it to us - any idea where he's projected to fall in the draft?
