There’s super-strong interest in the first pick of the 2nd round each year- for reasons I haven’t quite gotten my head around- so a bidding war could make it very expensive.

If that guy has been playing midfield, why did he only average 16 disposals per game?
Looks like he was pushed out of the midfield in the champs hence the low disposals but 1.3 goals a game. Maybe we like him as a small forward?

Cal interesting has Hewitt on a hard slide to P23. If that were to happen, surely someone would bite at a F2nd and one of our P30s this year.

Ideal haul:
One of: Phillipou/CMac/Tsatas
  • Hewitt
  • One of: Hayes/Van Es/Phillips
  • MacLennan
Reckon McClennan would be picked up as category B rookie as was the case last year with Peris & Kyle.

That would be pretty tempting. Adelaide are a Taylor Walker injury away from finishing on the bottom. They need mids too so they’d be desperate enough to throw in something else as well.
Keep the F1st. Gives us 2 1st rnd pick next year. Good talent in next years draft.
Then and look at trading F2nd to GWS for either 15/18/19 and 31.

Saints have nominated Angus McClellan. There ya go
Meaning we can get him after pick 40?
Not so up on all the details.

Also how does pick trading work on the night? How much time do the clubs get to do it?

Were they his champs averages or TAC Cup (or whatever it’s called now)?

Yeah I was also wondering if we saw him as another Butler type for the front half. Ross likes his quick pressure forwards.

1. Yep after 40. Feels like he’s unlikely to go in the ND. Would be a rookie.
2. 5 mins if I recall for first round and is it a little bit tighter for later rounds ? 3 mins perhaps?

So why are we so excited about him?

To me the Pou suits what the Bombers need more than any of the others. I can't see how they don't take him. I reckon Zsa Zsa will be the slider (sorry dard 🤪)
This is exactly why Essendon don't go for him. It's very St.Kilda, take a safe option. Tsatas has been touted Top 3-5 all year. Nervous decision not picking him based on that alone, etc. Billings v Bont all over again.

Bombers could go for Humphrey.
Dodoro needs a player who makes somewhat of an immediate impact in order to keep his job (if media speculation is correct) , and for that reason , I think Humphrey is a strong chance for them. Improve his kicking and you have a star.

I hope so.

Am I right in believing the fact that he nominated for the draft last year allows us to automatically add him as a rookie and he doesnt have to nominate again?
