If not for a few days, Phillipou would be spoken about as a top 3 pick in next years draft given his output this year. He’s still 17 years old.
The scope for development is phenomenal

I don't think he has high bust factor compared to others. Humphrey and Tsatas look more boom bust to me. Phillipou looks like at least a GOP at AFL level. The rest is up to him and the footy gods. He could easily start as a forward with short runs on ball for a couple of years.

Yeah I don't understand the high bust discussion with him at all.

Looks a very safe pick. If he doesn't become an elite mid he's going to be a very good forward.

Don’t think we’d trade our future first for him but I rate him highly, has been doing it for years and is the definition of a high potential player. The games he was ‘quiet’ I still believe he’s had impact around stoppages and doing quite special things as his trademark explosiveness.

Have not wanted a kid as much as Phillipou in ages. Hard to see him sliding to us though. I'm prepared to be disappointed.

Tsatas' lack of kicking penetration worries me. I don't want another guy who can't kick over a jam tin. The rest of his game is exciting but kicking is the hardest skill to improve.

Because I don't rate him that highly.

There's every chance he makes it to the 2nd round.

I think we are more likely to get a gun player with that future pick than we are with Hewett.

Nope.

We are in a great spot with our pick. Moat people.are finding it fairly difficult to rate the draft between 5-10.

I wouldn't be trading out of that position.

Yeah, Tsatas may have the edge in accumulation at this stage, but his kicking can be hit & miss? & isn't a proven goal kicker.
Whereas, Hewett will likely start at half-forward, can kick well on both feet & doe's like to hit the scoreboard with big bombs.

Tsatas is an atrocious kick. It's not even that though, i just think Hewett is better now and will continue to be better in the future.
I wouldn't be slightly shocked if he's a top 25 player in the afl at some point

Seriously though, Murdoch used to be the king maker. Shorten was taken down for not playing the game in 2019 and since then Rupert's had trouble pushing his preferred candidates federally and state. The internet has really destabilised the old world media now. Most people have their views formed by Twitter and Facebook memes/videos. Not sure it's any better, just different. People seem to trust morons with agendas more than huge media entities now. Karens with cameras over op-ed lap-dogs doing their boss' bidding.

No way, just pick him with pick 10, if we want him.
He's the burst midfielder that we need. And also, he will probably begin his career at Half-forward where he loves to kick goals from long range.

Neat disposal, clean, kicks bombs and is explosive. It’s hard not seeing him become a very good afl player minimum with those attributes. The query is what he’s like off field and how he’s interviewed with recruiters it’s the only reason he has slid imo. Hope we package up 32-28 to grab him.
