I know I‘be been talking about kicking penetration a lot. One thing I’ll say about Poo is his ability to kick 50 off a step. It’s an amazing attribute for the midfield and allows for fast deep forward attacks.

Agreed.

Also having someone who is a genuine goal threat from 60m just seems to make things happen. You often see guys rush to close that kind of player down, if they have some composure that can really open up a number of other options around them.

I haven't read any player profiles and know nothing about them, so my opinion is based only from the eye test on their two minute highlights hehe. I haven't bothered watching anyone else as this seems to be the consensus top 10.

I seem to be the only one who likes the look of Clark?? It was tough to split him and Phillipou, I'd be happy with either. If both have gone, I'd be happy with Tsatas or McKenzie, I couldn't split them either in the next rung down.

From least to most preferred in tabulated form:

Order of preference:

1. Mackenzie
2. Tsatas
3. Phillipou
4. Clark
5. Ginbey
6. Humphrey

Prediction

1. Cadman
2. Ashcroft
3. Warsaw
4. Sheezel
5. Phillipou
6. Humphrey
7. Tsatas
8. Clark
9. Ginbey
Us. Mackenzie

And I'd be okay with that

It seems like the majority have Cmac/Tsatas/Phillipou in some order in their top 3 and they are the 3 we will likely have our pick call out.

So most will be happy.

Except for the Humphrey B Bear fans.

You won’t be.

Humphrey Bear will be long gone.

Reckon Essendon takes Phillipou, we get a choice of Tsatas, CMAC, or Clark.

No opinion on who we take

As for that fraud John Doe, saying Essendon say Phillipou is simply better than Tsatsas doesn't make it fact.
Top ten littered with a team selecting one over the other and the other being better.
It is easier now but there is a lot of football to be had by an 18 y.o junior before that pronouncement is made.

It's pretty wild that we potentially will take the player that Essendon pass on of Phillipou/Tsatsas six picks later. Just shows how even it is, in light of that we'd be mad to trade up in order to get someone.
There were for a long time considered 9 top prospects, and we were looking like missing out by 1, but then with the news that Ginbey might go ahead of us that’s put us right in the mix to get one of those other 9.

Heart set on the Pou now. Looks to be the goods in every way, exact kinda player we need. Tall, penetrating booming kick, can play forward, can play midfield, couple of days of next years drafting age, clearly motivated and wants to be the best, great overhead mark and athleticism.

CMAC, Clark and Tsatas would be happy with as well, so we are gonna get a fantastic prospect that fills a dire need regardless. Beautiful.

Tempted to turn my eye to our later picks now, because that’s where we can really excel in this draft. Arguably most excited to see if these picks trading rumours occur, would love to bring in at least another 3 quality kids to go with Windy, Owens and Nas. So if we can get some earlier picks or know we’ll land some sliders I’ll be over the moon.

Keen as for Monday/Tuesday night, will be the cherry on top of a roller coaster ride of an off season.

One things for certain Phillipou has the best highlights package. You’d think it was Bont’s pre draft highlights.

There would have to be some serious questionmarks about his personality if he makes it through to us.

Looks like a faster version of Bontempelli.

Another thing we need to take into account with phillipou is he is only makes this draft by 5 days. Still only 17. If he was in next years draft he would be talked about as a potential pick one. Might still grow another couple of cms
Was a very similar situation with Bont and Harry McKay.

St Kilda has tried to move up the board, having interest in Hawthorn's selection, but is likely to have one of Phillipou, Mackenzie or Tsatas to pick if it holds its spot and can boost its midfield with a quality prospect, while Carlton will also be interested in those three as it waits to see if a slider emerges.

The Giants may shift the selection into the future so they can hold three first-rounders this year and three next year, and could secure two of their priority players with the later picks inside the top 20 without having to use pick 15 on them. The Swans, also, are dangling their first-round picks up for trade, while the Bombers are considered a chance to trade into the top 20 if Hewett is still available and their current draft hand remains. St Kilda, too, has been hunting for an extra pick between its current first and second picks (it starts at No.9 and its next is at 28).
