Here I was thinking the Swans were brutally efficient with the draft hand this year.

Then I see Kinnear Beatson school Sarah Ollie on the realities of the draft in the most brutal of ways.

Sarah chose poorly if she thought that Beatson was the guy to rib about the Swans tactics. He's know as the best list manager/recruiter in the business, not as a man of great humour.

Just being a w***er to Sarah Olle because she jokingly asked about them being agitators due to bidding on players.

Hard to choose who has won the draft so far. Really like the Saints, Hawks and Blues drafts. Pies and Giants have done solid too.

Although she did it in a pretty light hearted way, she essentially called shenanigans on the Swans bidding strategies this year.

Beatson wasn't having any of it and set her very straight. She looked terrified from that point on.

Although one needs to know their target, he was incredibly abrasive after her very first question.

It was almost Bevo like. If Bevo ever unloaded on a female.

What happened ??

Stand offish, basically attacking the premise of her questions which were highly superficial. Patronising tone suggesting that this is the real deal and not a phantom draft and that she shouldn’t be asking stupid things. It was belittling, unnecessary and unpleasant.

I know we promoted two off the list. I'm just trying to figure what Baker would count as in the supplementary draft if we pick him up.

She had every right to ask him the question. Everyone following the draft is curious to the mind behind their tactics. I mean it is fine to bid on two players, but to end up trading that said pick away immediately after placing two bids. Makes it seem like it was more like a spite/tosser move. Than a genuine interest to select a player.

As someone who grew up in Tassie, you'd have to be a weird unit to want to move back there after experiencing life in Melbourne. Nice place to holiday and retire but its not a good place for someone in their prime.

Other weird thing is we’ve made it pretty clear we’re valuing foot skills this draft yet we’ll probably top the list off with Sullivan and Baker. Just can’t see either being worth a spot
