I hope Jaiden Magor is on our radar, he looks a very good player to me. Been injured a fair bit this year. Plays as a forward/inside mid averaging 22 disposals and 4 clearances in the SANFL. Played deep forward in his last two games before getting injured again and kicked 11 goals, 4 behinds. Has a decent initial burst of speed and is a pretty strong lad. I would happily take him at our 2nd pick.

A couple others I like too that don't get spoken about much.

Kelsey Rypstra. Small pressure forward that did an ACL this year. Not much of him at 172cm, but I love his energy. Late/rookie pick.

Beau Tedcastle is a small forward that can do some very freakish things around goal. Has also spent some time on a wing. Kicked 19 goals in the NAB league. Late/rookie

Jonti Schback is a winger. Very classy player, with great foot skills. Probably also a late/rookie

Thanks for the good info mate

Cheers. Highlights of his 6-goal game are on YouTube.

If dunkley goes to Port pick 8 phillipou and split 11 for 2 picks in the 20's get brayden George and Harry Barnett

ignoring our incredibly dysfunctional backline?

Do this trade with Port:
Dunkley + 11
For
8, 19 (Amon Compo) & Bergman

Draft:
Philipou at 8
Konstanty at 19

You end up adding a super fast small forward, a powerful future midfielder who can play forward and a fast winger who can hit a target.

These are all list needs….

Personally I would prefer a defensive focus draft BUT would be happyish with the above.

Phillipou and relation to a Sam Phillipou?

Sam was at the club in the mid 90's at a guess

Mate who is a WAFL fan thinks Schenslog had another good year this year.
Best test to come for Schlensog is this weekend when his side SF, plays the Freo aligned WAFL team Peelmantle in the elimination final....if the fella struggles against Freo's lesser talls, then not much hope for him v the stronger, faster and bulkier AFL talls.

IF defence is the thing you want to strengthen:
Do the trade with Port anyway.

Pick 8 Ginbey
Pick 19 Weddle

Play Ginbey as a defensive wingman, who can defend and also attack. Has played Def, inside mid and outside mid. Flexibility but 1v1 his strong suit.

Weddle as a medium defender who hates to be beaten. Again 1v1 defender but can rebound and provide an outlet.

Ginbey is becoming one of my favourites in this draft.

Small forward first and foremost.

Make it two.
I agree it is a need ( along with a KPD and a ruck) but if “best available “ at our first pick is a mid that is how I would go.Libba ain’t getting any younger and recent finals performances would indicate our midfield is not all conquering. To be fair the same can be said about all our other areas.

In his profile he lists Bailey Smith as his favourite player. Perhaps we can pair them.

Yeah and especially if Dunks goes.

If we have 8 and 11 there could be some amazing talent we shouldn't/couldn't ignore.

Would 8 and 11 be enough for the Eagle's pick 2 they are apparently open to splitting (for WA players later in the first round)? It's 2880 vs 2517 so they get a points premium. Guess it depends on how desperate anyone else us for 2.

Assuming the F/S bid at 1 then it's really 9 and 12 for 3 which is more strongly in the Eagle's favour - 2737 points vs 2234.

Either way pick 2/3 guarantees a swing at someone very special.

Harry Sheezel, if that was the way we went. Elijah Tsatas also exceptional.

Is Busllinger any chance to slide out to pick 8/9 or is that where he’s predicted to go anyway?

Just watching some extended highlights, geez he’s a good player. He could probably play Rd 1 next year in that 3rd tall key/intercept role. Great reader of then play, good leap, strong hands. He’s built ok too so don’t think playing first up would be an issue. Looks like a real 200 game defensive gun. Something we haven’t had on the list for a while.

If we get 8 from Port, maybe it’s Busslinger if he’s there and then our 11/12 pick is best available mid.

Not impossible, he's coming off a shoulder reco.

There's a chance he slides. He's had a shoulder injury and hasn't had as much exposure as some of the others. Twomey has him rated at 13 and he seems to have a bit more inside knowledge.

Some question marks over his speed/athleticism as well I think. A little fear he’s a McAsey or Kieran Collins type.
