Yeah that was the case I think, we probably could have got McKay but not Curnow.

In hindsight though 11 for 25 & 26 is just not a good trade. It’s obviously very draft dependant but 11 is a very good pick, you’re only 1 out of the top 10 and probably going to get first pick of a slider etc. you’re a much much higher chance of getting a gun player at 11 than you are at even 18 in most drafts IMO and so the going price to trade up to a pick around 10-12 should be a late first rounder ie 17-20 & another pick in the 20s.

Two mid 20s picks is just not a good enough return for pick 11
It's like trading pick 3, 12 and a future 2nd for pick 1, 53 & 57...

Yes he went full dickhead meltdown and Chief was not happy :rainbow:

He's still making videos about why BF is bad on his YouTube channel...it's a bit of a laugh.
Got me curious so I went on to YouTube and found ESPN, who has the 61 best moments of the Bulldogs in 2016. I hadn’t seen it before it was fantastic.

This is a consensus top 20, averaged from about six different journos. There’s a huge drop after pick 11, and we’ll have pick 12. Unless one of those top guys slips, I’d want to see what we could get for pick 12 on the night, maybe for someone who really wants Jefferson.
Can we screw a few clubs like put a bid in for Alwyn Davey and Jason fletcher, makes our pick 21 stronger.

Yep I really don’t get that one, I don’t think North (especially after losing JHF) or Weagles would have taken Cadman anyway so looks like GWS have given away 12 & a future 2nd for no reason at all
David King was apparently losing his shit as to why North weren’t going to straight draft Cadman
I don’t know, maybe it’s because their midfield needs a lot more class ..
Can’t get it to Cadman without the midfield 🐸

Looks like Crom are just going to match a bid on their F/S and upgrade 2 rookies. Meaning there's little chance they will push up into the draft. 1 less team to worry about.

I think pick 21 is too early for Clarke, but it would be a bit of a surprise to get him at our 3rd though.

I'd imagine most people would be disappointed with that draft especially with no talls. It wouldn't surprise me if we did end up with smalls with our first three picks and we go tall in the rookie draft.
Seems to be some good athletic late draft/rookie talls as per the combines.
With our mature acquisitions we can be patient anyway,

There's been some pick swaps today.

Adelaide has traded 23 to norf for 59 and a future 2nd.
Lions has traded 56 to adelaide for a future 4th round selection.

Not sure wtf Adelaide is thinking. It seem Lions are going to use future picks after the Ashcroft bid to trade back in enough points for Fletcher.
Adelaide get an early 2nd next year, in a draft many think is stronger. I can understand it

Really like the look of Darcy Jones. Has Shai Bolton vibes but perhaps without the huge leap?
By all accounts, his best asset is the way he genuinely sprints between contests - intent that isn't captured in highlights packages and combine results.

I wouldn't be surprised if Eagles blink and trade up to get him if they think he'll go before pick 20 or pick him at 12.
