Have a great feeling about Hayes. Really want him.

Which other clubs are likely to be looking for a key defender (if going by need not just best available) in the first 2 rounds? Could be touch and go whether Hayes gets to our 2nd.

Saints and Bombers both need key defenders and both their 2nds will be before ours. Plus the fact our 2nd probably goes for Lobb.

Most clubs go for best available, with a small amount of weighting given to geography (esp. SA & WA clubs) and needs.
We were absolutely flush for KPDs the draft we took Naughton.

I say that we go for best available perhaps with the exception of KPFs (who'd ever think we'd say that!) if we don't think they can play both ends.

Edward Allan - son of Hawthorn and Freo great is ending the season well. He is 195cm and plays as an inside mid….

Wonder IF he would consider a move to KPD? [emoji848]

Great football bloodline and will be in the open draft. I would love some footage of him to evaluate potential.

Cal Twomey also said he can play on the wing

Please take with a grain of salt here

Dogs number 1 target in the draft is Harry Sheezel, to the point dogs would consider trading up.

Though likely dogs will trade their pick for two first rounder picks and will likely bid on Alwyn Davey and Jaspa Fletcher

Dogs also looking to stack future picks for next year

Sheezel is great. Wouldn't complain at all.

Trading up is always fraught with danger - I remember the calls to trade up to get Tom Boyd (we would have missed out on the Bont).
Talent watchers seem to think Sheezel will go in the top 3

Sheezel should go at 3 or 4 IF Ashcroft goes first. He is hugely talented but his best position is a forward and a midfielder is more valuable.

Wonder where George will go following the ACL? Won't play next year.
Surely he won't slide too far. Drafting a kid is a long term investment and talent doesn't go away.
You would think teams higher up the ladder are in a better position to give a draftee time, so I can see him going later in the first round.

I have a feeling we'd need North's pick 1 to lock in Sheezel at this point

How do we trade up to essentially pick2/3?

Sam Power has worked some magic, but it'll be something else if he can somehow trade up and bank future picks simultaneously.
