Cal saying on Road to the Draft that Buss could reach us, and Darcy Jones' draft range looks to be 20-40. Buss and Jones would be great.

I don't mind him as well however feel with Cleary & Raak in the wings and play a similar style, pick 21 might be a stretch? It will be interesting, one thing for sure we're going to find out how good our recruiters are because there's many options around our picks (first 2 picks anyway) and some will go on to be better that expected and other not so.... Lets hope we're on the positive endMichalanney in particular would be a really good pick up, if the Crows passed on him then I'd be happy with him at 21.

What is everyone's take on Rowson?Busslinger and George (with a bid on GWS' Academy player Harry Rowston).
Could be worse.
What is everyone's take on Rowson?
I struggle to place him, I'm not sure how his game translates to afl level.
Surely 22 should be easily gettable if Daveys still there at 21, an extra pick at 21 is a huge bonus for Essendon - if they call our bluff Davey suits us anyway.
Weddle & one of the smalls at 21, 22 would be bloody awesome.
Nice!! Get it donePick 11: Philipou/Hollands/Busslinger
Pick 21: George/Hewett
Pick 22: Weddle/Jones
I hope its only as a rookieSullivan's name coming up as a likely state league prospect. We're 100% rookie listing him.
If we don't trade up our pick 39 and don't take a small forward with our first two picks, I suspect we pick up Leary (19 year old small forward) who we have apparently interviewed. If the names we are linked to are true, then it shows we are targeting defenders and small forwards, two of our weaknesses. If we can nab one of each, and a good winger, we have done well and covered all three needs. Feel we would need to trade up pick 39 most likely to pull getting quality at all 3
There is also Cory Preston available who trained with us a pre-season ago - has played defence last year after playing forward previously. Might be a rookie option as a BP anywayBrandon Leary (Tasmania Devils) Age: 19
Position: Forward (177cm)
Despite tipping the scales at just 72kg, Brandon Leary is an incredibly consistent forward, who hit the scoreboard in his first 13 NAB League matches. A season-high six goals came against the NT Thunder while he also managed to nab three-goal hauls on four separate occasions. Leary’s goal sense has been praised – as he finished with just one goal less than top draft contender Aaron Cadman and three less than Harry Sheezel. Leary says he’s modelling his game on Magpie Jamie Elliott, and could prove a ready-made option for some AFL clubs.
Since we’re almost definitely going to get Sullivan who watches VFL and knows what we’d be getting? Would he have potential as a small forward at AFL level?
I believe we're interested in him in the rookie draftIf we don't trade up our pick 39 and don't take a small forward with our first two picks, I suspect we pick up Leary (19 year old small forward) who we have apparently interviewed.

Wingman and small defender are the biggest needs for mineSo we all agree that with our 3 picks, we need a best available Mid, a small forward and a Key defender?
Article about Van Es in the HS really makes him sound the goods. Ballarat boy, latecomer to high-level footy and playing as a defender so has heaps of development left in him, reckons his bodywork and strength are his best attributes.
I think we just need best available. Key defenders and silky outside-leaning types should get a bonus in their draft board placement, but then I would stay faithful to the board. Aside from key forwards, there isn't really a position that we're overstocked in.So we all agree that with our 3 picks, we need a best available Mid, a small forward and a Key defender?
