Wanted to get JDG soon but held off. I know he was crook throughout the week but what was his role today to score 50 something?

Must just be gastro. Would be a good discounted buy this week or next.

Also, anyone feel like it will be difficult to make up ground at this stage of the season? Teams are almost identical at this stage, particularly the mids and defense.

I think bye management will be the next window for people to make substantial gains in rank.

There it is. Rank did not move at all. Only good thing I did, was take SDK's score in the end, and bring in McComb at the last moment over Coleman - because I was that pissed off over the Hewett debacle - that I just wanted cash.

Rozee was a fail...of course. Had the perfect two moves all week - but no I couldn't do them because I was too concerned over Hewett, and I was flying home so couldn't change things as much as I wanted. Whole round was a f*cking disaster, and has basically a) put me a week behind again, and b) put Mills out of reach for good. Left me fielding JHF rather than trading him and looping Clark - a 58 point on field loss. And left me not bringing Mills in, wherein I lost another 57 points over Rozee being on field instead of Mills. Score would have been a whopping 2368 - but of course, in this ridiculous season, not to be.

This game can seriously get in the bin. 2253 all out. Rank drop from 2422 to 2434, pending changes. 364K remaining, and once lockouts lifts, JHF > Clark and Skinner > Stewart.

F*ck I'm gonna be mad about this for a while.

Hopefully you learn from this and stop letting silly non-important things like travelling get in the way of your fantasy team.

2285 this week which was good enough to improve a couple thousand spots to 5000th.

Content with that now need some reinforcements to arrive on the bench quick smart.

Hayes R2 is an experiment that didn't exactly work... but the alternative would have seen me copping a mcinnes donut and scoring about 100pts less as a result... so can't complain so far.

I may need to just push on with the anti-preuss campaign and hope hayes can give me 60s till English arrives for a more permanent fix.

Parker the likely target this week for value

I've been thinking about this. There are a lot of consensus great picks this year - e.g. Brodie, Hewett, Sicily, and it's causing more of a homogeneous cluster amongst the top few thousand teams, rather than a more chaotic dispersal of varying teams.

As such your can break your weekly trades down into defensive ones - trading in a high ownership gun that you don't already have, and attacking ones - bringing in a POD or mid-pricer.

Think you need a balance of both across the season as you're not going to nail the POD pick every time.

2223 - good enough to climb from 15,000 to 13,000, not enough to make a real dent. Says to me this score was about par, which seems to be the consensus around here.

However, where I have benefitted is trading Grundy to Preuss two weeks ago, and holding Cripps. Which means my team structure / progress wasn't nearly as interrupted this week as many others, and I was more or less able to carry out the trade plans that I wanted (though Xerri went out instead of Rachele). So I feel I might've made up a little more ground this way instead, rather than having to sideways.

Which is good, because apparently my starting side was absolute trash

Please give Neale or Heeney a 2 pt adjustment. 2398 and moved up to 19th overall. Could have been 18pts better except for some nuffie on here, who had a go at me when I said I'd go greedy and play McComb rather than looping NOD. Ended up looping NOD's score.

Hobbs has been a terrible pick for me tbh. Was supposedly the "safe" option to make $$. Trading him in instead of McComb meant I went the "cheap premo" in JDG ahead of Mills last weekend. Looking like almost single handedly destroying my year....

That's why I don't mind carnage*. Other things can swing the pendulum too like jumping off Daicos early etc.

You think Carroll holds for a while?

Off that performance yes, however you have to acknowledge that he was a late in to cover Hewey. Won't have a tonne of tickets if he doesn't keep playing like he did on Saturday and he doesn't have a particular need that guarantees his spot, i.e he's not a half back, he's not a winger, he's not a small forward. He's a midfielder who will get selected again next week and play a bit of mid and a bit of half forward but he won't keep that position if he doesn't perform as more specialised players in those positions will always be at risk of dethroning him.
