Pick 5 and next years 1st - TT and pick 8(ports) still gets us hollands. Think it's going to need to be very nice offer for North to budge.

Way too much - probably would take this and then you would have to walk away. That's more than it would take to get Josh Dunkley - a bloke who won a B&F and not played reserves.

Let’s say Bowes does go to Geelong as rumoured, along with pick 7.

Depending on what Geelong offer back, we can package up some picks and send them for TT.

But North might be looking for a big deal and I’m not sure we should pay it.

Pretty sad for Izak to be leaving to a club known for not being good with indigenous welfare when we are potentially getting in two more indigenous guys and remain a strong club in this department.
Yeah agree it is sad. He is really tight with our large group of indigenous players. Hope he gets on well with Wayne milera cos that's about as far as cows indigenous program goes.

At the end of the day, he made the choice to chase $$$, he has that right but anything that happens now is on him

Ports riley bonner up for trade. Plays wing/ half back could be a good sharp replacement

Take this with a grain of salt as it is Damian Barrett. He has just said Thomas is wrestling with requesting a trade, wonder if we have put anything to him?

"Leading AFL columnist Damian Barrett said Jason Horne-Francis' trade request is "Alastair Clarkson doubt related" according to the Kangaroos, and last year's No.1 pick could be joined by another talented young star asking out.
According to SEN's Sam Edmund, 22-year-old midfielder Tarryn Thomas is "wrestling with requesting a trade" away from the Kangaroos.
Thomas is contracted at North Melbourne until the end of the 2024 season, and it would require a significant trade package from a rival to prise him out of Arden Street."

THOMAS
Horne Francis’s teammate Tarryn Thomas endured a similarly turbulent year but the Herald Sun understands at this point he is unlikely to request a trade away from the Roos.
Gold Coast is interested in Thomas, a former No.8 draft pick, but he is contracted for the next two years on as much as $700,000 a season.
Clubs including Sydney, where he has close family, expressed interest over the season and see him as a player of immense value.
But his salary and the difficulty in extracting him from Arden Street means he is more likely to remain despite his challenging year and openness to a fresh start.

Yeah, if he’s on 700k then that just puts us back where we started with this whole Bowes salary dumping thing.

No, it’s just using our $650k from Rankine on a best 22 player in a position we need (outside mid with pace).

We are creating cap space with the salary dump players.

It is a tricky one with TT because he had such a down year. Agree put rankines 650 x 4 on the table and sell the team first path we're going down and whether he wants to be part of Premierships or just make some cash. There is certainly some risk but he has the potential to be a $1 mill a year player.
