What are rules and the possible sanctions for this?
I suspect it might come under the 'indefinite' banner. There is the obligatory cycle of public shaming, mea culpa and redemption before the heart-warming return of the chastened, re-born young man, replete with short hair and clean-shaven visage.

The whole schtick makes me sick, frankly, but the AFL, the media and public lynch-mob mentality demand nothing less.

Late season, at the earliest.

OK. Something like bringing the game into disrepute. Which makes sense to me.

Delicious?

Patiently waiting for the Parish news...

I assume he would have gone in for scans today, unless they were confident it wasn't serious

Bombers should release their injury report tomorrow

Dusty owners....if there are any

Don't think I've ever seen a player so early in their career to check them selves out.

Captain hight sight says take the offer for the crows .

Interesting to see what happens here.

He's a young Kent .

Can't see him missing to many games ..

Till you hear news they need to cut he's leg off ...🤪

Is Gawn ok.,?

I blame Kent's for jumping on ..
You are more accurate than you probably know; Cox jumped knee first into his back and I think it really seemed to hurt the big fella. Combine that with the knee he has carried all year and it was just a bridge too far.
He'll be fine after the bye, he is just very sore all over.

He's carrying the whole Melbourne team at the moment. I think he got a couple of knocks yesterday.

Question from a non AFL person - what's the deal with knee's in the back like Cox gave Gawn? I get players raise their knees to protect themselves when marking, but that looked like he was trying to hurt him (successfully). Is it just part of the game, or considered not on?

As long as it's still a legit marking attempt it's fine. Part of the game.

Part of the game, really. There might be some malice of forethought occasionally, but mostly it's instinctive as part of a launch to flight.

To be fair to the kid. he has worked his guts out since he was a bairn to become an AFL player and at the moment he probably feels like he is not.
NM are a complete mess, the coach is not worthy of the name and they are a fading memory soon to be forgotten.

Why would anyone want to be cursed by being called out by the NMFC?

He is in a really tough situation. Insane how much the media want to tear down North every moment they can. I hope JHF has a good support system around him because this much noise around an 18 year old will get to him. With the deal North knocked back fans were expecting him to come in and save their club. Not every kid is Walsh who comes in and is already topping the distance tracker. JHF has talent but he needs to work on some aspects of his game still, as every first-year players does.

Does not help things when JHF comes from a broken home. You can see that he is carrying the burden of everything to do with North and it is getting to him.

Best thing for him to do is to come to Port. I am feeling generous today, North can have Stinkley as part of the trade deal. It is a win win for both clubs :)
