I believe the farewell do at the House of Olarenshaw last night may have been quite memorable, albeit extremely hazy; might be a bit fragile and a bit vulnerable to some unfavourable markers in any bloods done, so probably all understood and kept inhouse.
He'll probably get a 'flu' and miss this week or something ridiculous.

I refuse to Trade English out again. idc.
I didn't trade him out the first time, hence my freefall since round 3. Might have to alter trade plans this week though. Surely he misses round 16 too.

Could see them doing the Finlayson as first ruck thing again.

Pretty sure he was always due back at the club on Wednesday. Media just blowing it up as usual.
It's almost like he thrives on it. I mean, I know people need to live, but how many other AFL players would take themselves to Bali on a mid season break and carry on the way he does, when he's out of contract at the end of the year? If I was being paid as much as he is to do what he does, there's no way I'm going to Bali for 4 days, knowing the shit storm it has the potential to cause. That's just me though.

The name 'Olarenshaw' immediately reminds me of AFL '99 on the Playstation.

Loved that game so much

I get your point, he is a moron, like very very dumb. But I'm still trying to work out what he did wrong... That could have been any other 26 year old in a bar in Bali, or the Gold Coast, or Europe. I understand it's a bad image for the AFL and the club, and he has some bad history, but he's literally done nothing wrong.

Yep, he competed really well, good 2nd efforts, very physical. I reckon they might stick with him.

Sneaky trade in option?

There were two other Collingwood players and probably a few other league players there as well, none of them managed to do anything as spectacularly stupid as he did, or hang out with the crims in Bali like he did ( who protect Olarenshaws number 2 best knocking shop in Bali, the other massage business is vanilla).
I reckon the bloke is a tool of the highest order, in the mould of a Jake King, or what Dusty might have been without footy. The Comancheros have likely already identified him as a future national president. I just wish he wasn't a match-winner, in the sense that 4-5 times a year, he wins us a game of footy by himself.
500K or whatever he is on, 7-800K a year to come, maybe more after the next 2 years, just pull your stupid, arrogant, slappable head in until you win us a flag, retire and then become the true world-class groan 'n' grunt you were born to be.

The Pies probably let De Goey go to Bali, knowing something would happen, so other clubs would stay away, thus lowering his value, so we can keep him on $400k a year

Sounds like a play straight out of Eddie's book

I've gotta decide whether or not to take a donut and continue with my original plan, or trade in someone like D Cameron who might score well this week and give ruck cover. From a league perspective my season is screwed anyway.
Does Jackson become a more highly traded in player this week ?

I should have known better to stay away from English as he is the Zac Butters of ruckmen and I would have stayed away if Gawn didn't get injured or Preuss didn't keep getting dropped, suspended and injured which forced me to trade him to Gawn. So many trades this year blown on trading rucks,

How many other highly paid AFL players went overseas on their mid season break? You're right. He did nothing wrong. But it would appear that he is happy to not have a contract next year.
