Watch them bump up the polo cost to $70.

They should be sending them for free to those of us who have donated the cost of our seats for two years.

Unbelievable.

Polo shirt has always been an add on expense to a membership as far as I'm aware.
Yes it has, $50 if I recall correctly. This is a revenue raising strategy. They will raise the cost to $70 through the online store and suckers like me will pay.

Hi all,

This is looming to be an exciting season for some. I think we will have a fairly normal season next year without COVID lockdowns.

Does anyone know when when memberships go online? ill prob upgrade mine next season. Hoping to make the flight down from QLD for a few games.
Rd 1 , Anzac Day and maybe one or 2 more.

What memberships are people going to get?

Ive been on she cheer squad wait list for awhile. Is it worth sitting with them?
I will be going the Legends Membership again, though I have not been able to use the seat in 3 years.
The guaranteed GF ticket is the sealer.

That is not how the MCC works and possibly AFL members. MCC they offered a straight 30% discount.

Should not be up to the members to have to come forward. Should be simple as games in Melbourne, that were no crowds and or transferred - reserved seat component refunded in full.

Depends on your point of view. Are you paying for a service? Or are you paying membership to support an organisation?

Fly should rip in and cook me a BBQ....

I think I’ll keep my current membership and upgrade in 2024 back to a gf garentee . I can’t see us contending in the next couple years.
I’ve got a new job atm so need to watch my spending
You won't get Legends back once you drop out, even now.

Members email that came out from Ando. For those who want to know the goings on around the club, have a read.....

First and foremost, I hope that you and your family are staying safe and well given the various lockdowns and restrictions across the country.

2021 has been a transformative, but challenging year for our Club. Our members have faced another year significantly disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and we remain so appreciative of the commitment and passion of you, our members.

In 2021, our AFL and SSN teams were unable qualify for their respective finals series, and our AFL program has undergone significant change.

After finals campaigns in 2018, 2019, and 2020, Graham Wright succeeded Geoff Walsh as GM of Football and an influx of young talent arrived.

Some of the near dozen young players who arrived either late last year or during this year have already made a mark. Henry's contested marking. McCreery's forward pressure. McRae’s composure, Bianco's finesse. Ginnivan's goal-sense. Poulter's raking kick. I could go on!

Our fourth first round draftee in the last 12 months, Nick Daicos, is set to officially join the Club in November.

With the recent appointment of Craig McRae to the position of AFL senior coach, our new-look coaching group is beginning to take shape. It was wonderful to see Craig make such a positive impression upon our members and fans, displaying the qualities that we believe will reshape our program and return our team to contention. There's plenty of work to be done, but I can't help but be buoyed by the glimpses we've seen so far.

And our AFLW team had a stellar season earlier this year, going down in a close Premlinary Final and capped off by Brianna Davey's wining both the AFL and our Club’s Best and Fairest. Our VFLW team produced an unbeaten season to qualify for a pending Grand Final berth.

On the netball front we have re-signed coach Nicole Richardson, and our Super Netball squad continues to impress with a developing list, building into the 2022 pre-season. Superstar netballer/footballer Ash Brazill has recently been named in the Australian national squad, a testament to her blistering form.

Behind the scenes, the Club continues to make great strides.

The planned Holden Centre redevelopment, funded by the Federal Government, is on schedule and includes construction of a state-of-the-art women's sport research centre. Works will commence next month, ensuring that our athletes continue to have access to world-class training facilities.

Since the release of the 'Do Better Report' earlier this year, important progress has been made regarding the implementation of the report's recommendations. I was particularly pleased to see the involvement from members in our recent 'Do Better Report' member update, held via Zoom, and we'll continue to update you on the vital work being done by our various working groups in the space.

As previously announced, the Club's AGM has been brought forward to December 16, 2021. My role in all this is to ensure that the Club continues to operate in pursuit of on-field and on-court success, and that we have the financial, procedural, and cultural resources to achieve this aim. The Board have ensured that the Executive and staff can focus on running our Club to deliver growth.

As CEO, I want to again reinforce that we are truly grateful that you were with us throughout the 2021 season. We simply could not do this without you.

We here at the Club are acutely aware that the past season was not without challenges for members, especially in the latter part of the season when crowds were unable to attend games in Victoria.

After a difficult 2020, we were very much hoping for a much smoother ride in 2021. Although there were some noteworthy highs, our members did not receive the full promise of a Collingwood FC membership.

To repay members for their commitment, we've been making steady improvements to the Collingwood FC member experience. Our new Ideas Exchange Group is taking shape, and the feedback from the first session was positive and constructive. We're continuing to invest in the member experience for Season 2022, with another league-leading membership pack, more behind-the-scenes content, and additional opportunities for members to have their voice heard.

That said, if you feel that you did not receive the full value of your 2021 membership, please click here to explore your options.

If you have any questions about this process, you are welcome to call our membership team on 1300 MAGPIE (62 47 43), or simply reply to this email.

I am very much looking forward to heading into Season 2022 with you all, and I can't wait to see you back in the stands cheering on the mighty Pies!

Yours sincerely,

I see even our CEO is having challenges with all the Macrae's / McRae's we now have at the club :)

The 4th last paragraph in the email I received was slightly different:

“To repay members for their commitment, we've been making steady improvements to the Collingwood FC member experience. Our new Ideas Exchange Group is taking shape, and the feedback from the first session was positive and constructive. We're continuing to invest in the member experience for Season 2022, with an exclusive woollen scarf for Legends members, more behind-the-scenes content, and additional opportunities for members to have their voice heard.”

It appears Legends members are also getting a woollen scarf.
