Of those lot, Brodie for mine, he was brought in to be a battering ram, almost a running back. He'll be in the firing line to help Fyfe, Serong, Brayshaw get hold of clean footy. He could be burnt out physically about 1/3 rd of the way thru the year, but we'll have cashed him in by then anyway. If not already considered, Xerri looks good. I am strongly considering Naish as well, can see him being secure in a wing role pretty quickly and should get enough footy to score okay, especially until WC get some first team runners and grunters back.Brodie?

Joyce is an inside player and Naish an outside runner, I think they'd both have likely started because of the paucity of mature bodies at WC. Hough seems likely to play now, too, given that Simpson said there'd be at least a couple of new faces in the team.Yeah Naish is a option aswell.
I didn't see the WC game.
Cole inj aswell.
Don't know if that helps Naish.

One name I haven’t seen mentioned - Harry Schoenberg
Kid oozes talent and had a good end to last season, had built the tank with Burgess onboard
Laird out gives him even more midfield time
Is a great pick for the price vs an injury prone M.Crouch

Preuss R2 is not totally without risk, I agree. The positive is that it frees up an extra 450k to spend on other lines, compared to Gawn owners, after week one. Week one there will be a loss on points, English vs Grundy. Thereafter Preuss vs Gawn may be -30 odd points on the ruck line, but presumably the 450k should be yielding a much higher return elsewhere. Moreover I expect there is a high probability that Preuss will appreciate in value more quickly than other 200k players. JHF I'm looking at you!

Anyway, different strokes for different folks. I am also heartened by good early form shown by English, who has some elite mids to win clearances.
