LOL Cal fans about to storm the field. can you do that after beating a 3 win team?
Kansas fans stormed the field in 2021 for breaking a 14 game losing streak against an FCS opponent by 3 points
And didn't they do the same this year when they went 5-0 as it was their first home conference win since 2019?

Big Ten is a cupcake conference

Ohio State and Michigan would be 6-5 if they had to play SEC calibre teams every week.

SEC teams have by far the most difficult schedules every year because they play 8 or 9 games against fellow SEC combatants. Laughable the way you & others begrudge them playing a couple of Division II teams. They are already at enough of a disadvantage as it is.
Piss off with this arrogance.

I've been hearing it for 15 years.

The SEC as a whole is 3-3 vs ranked teams, 9-3 vs unranked teams with a winning record (but do 6-5 Bowling Green and 6-4 San Jose State etc really count as good wins?)

Then you're 34-0 vs s**t teams (teams sub .500 or FCS)

It's been the same s**t for the last 15 years

ESPN rate the SEC
SEC schedule cupcakes
Inflate their record
Look good
SEC beats each other up
SEC has a s**t bowl season but live off their conference champion winning the natty

Seriously - The SEC has only had a winning record in the bowl season in 2 of the last 6 seasons.

So I say again, piss off with this arrogance.

SEC is afraid if they move to a 9 game schedule or take out the cupcakes and end up with trap games this weekend that more teams will stumble like Tennessee today. At least the ACC scheduled G5 teams today.

Also you really need that game against someone like Austin Pery to warm up for Auburn.

What sort of bowl game will the Sooners head to?
Armed Forces or First responders bowl. basically one that has affiliation with 3-4 conferences and gets the scraps.

But might get Liberty Bowl if TCU make the playoffs and Liberty bowl take them over Texas Tech

The Ducks D looking a bit shaky but get the ball back after the utes went for it and didn’t take the field goal to tie it up 🦆

Utes failed 4th down was poor. but the D bailed them out. only got home and caught the last 10mins.

Lets be honest
Even if Alabama played Auburn this week, it'd still be cupcake weekend ;)

Finally got my head around the BigTen west championship implications.

Despite being a game behind, due to tiebreakers, the Minnesota-Wisconsin game is actually a dead rubber. All it changes is how far down the tiebreaker list you go.

Utah eliminated.
Though, feels like stupid tiebreakers.

If Oregon State, Utah and Washington all win next week. My understanding of the rules means Washington qualify courtesy of going 1.000 amongst each other over Oregon's .500 and Utah's .000

Fair play to Kentucky. They came to play and put up one helluva fight. You can see why they have the 2nd best defence in the SEC behind Georgia. We ran the ball on them quite easy but in pass defence and run defence when it mattered, they came up big. Saying that, I do get the feeling that if we wanted to blow them out more we would have but it did seem like we played quite conservatively to not risk injuries ahead of the playoffs. I fully expect the backups to get a lot of reps next week against Georgia Tech. I am hoping to see a lot of Carson Beck at QB.

Accurate.

Most of these SEC teams would be too scared of the cold for us to go 6-5. Horrible take.

Michigan got a couple of iffy calls that got them out of jail. The pass interference that setup a first down. And how they didn't overturn the catch that clearly hit the ground right before the game winning field goal is beyond me.
I thought that Pass interference was there. For the catch, it didn't really matter as it was only 5 yards but burnt a lot of clock time as an incompletion would have stopped the clock.

Regardless I thought Illinois were really good today even though we had a whole heap of players out (two best RBs and TEs, starting LG, best pash rusher, punt returner).
