SDSU won the Dakota Marker
And Idaho beat Montana.

Idaho's having a sneaky good season
Might be their best team in about 3-4 decades.

Up to 4-2, but those 2 losses were 1) a 1 score game vs a Pac-12 school, and 2) a 2 score game vs a BigTen school.

Also was some classic bad clock management by USC. Utah had 1st and goal with just over 2 mins left and didnt call a timeout. If USC had another 30sec then they might of had a better chance.

just reason ∞ why i pay no attention to rankings before november. Same voters had ND top 5 in the preseason and Oklahoma top 10.

Dont forget Montana, Ferris State, Indianapolis and Lake Forest and whichever unbeaten teams in fcs-div3 aren't ranked.

Appears that is actually the case. (I actually thought the Chad Pennington/Randy Moss lead Marshall side managed it, but they didnt)

1997 Marshall (10-3) and especially 2014 Georgia Southern (9-3) pretty stiff though.

THOUGH - I think historically, some coaches/media refused to waste their vote on a transitional member. (Was gonna say it was banned, but I think the year App State beat Michigan, there were votes for them in the AP Poll despite being FCS)

Like, look at Georgia Southern. There was a point they were 8-2 with their only losses being away to a 5-5 NC State side by 1 point and an 8-2 RANKED Georgia Tech by 4 points. And you're telling me that gets zero votes?
