NFL 2022 NFL - Week 12 (Thanksgiving)

Far those with Jabobs on fantasy teams, hmmm, Chargers did this with Everett last week, late questionable tag and a full week of practice and he missed

Josh Jacobs (ankle) is questionable for Week 12 against the Seahawks.

Jacobs was surprisingly added to the injury report with an ankle issue on Friday. He got in a limited practice before being listed as questionable. This could be nothing, but fantasy managers should monitor the situation on Sunday. The Raiders play in the second window of games, so emergency replacements for Jacobs would be scarce. Zamir White could inherit Jacobs' work on the ground, but the rookie has been a healthy scratch multiple times this year.

Any pass that travels 5 yards pass the line of scrimmage should void the rule unless the offensive linesman interrupted the defender trying to defend the pass

You want to take away one of the few rules that helps the defense?
Beacuse then you would have pulling guards go to the 2nd level and either sit there or wait for the LB to engage them to prevent a flag. or the same with extra OL.

If anything remove the 1-yd part of the rule and have the down judges throw a flag anytime a OL goes past them on a pass play.

By the time a guard gets 5 yards you would hope your defensive lineman, who should be unblocked, would have got to the qb.

Pulling guards can hit lbs all they want as they watch their undefended qb get destroyed.

Have you seen how badly some teams play the screen thats with 5-yds of separation between the OL and DL.

and you would have some RB/TE's chip and try to put the edge on his ass to get the tackle or guard to the 2nd level.

Dallas going to get a LOT of primetime games next season. The Packers/Dallas game had almost 30m

Also means they will likely get the Saturday night WC spot.

Screens passes don't go past the line of scrimmage normally...so if the lineman is downfield it's a penalty...the stupid calls are when the lineman wanders a couple of yards downfirld and the pass goes 10 plus.

A teams inability to play s screen isn't an excuse to change rules.

s**t stat to support a s**t argument.

If someone is going to argue that something is being over-officiated they need to use a rate stat, not a counting stat - the numbers could be going up purely because more teams are running RPOs (but even that wouldn't prove over-officiating)

Just come across as whining because his team gets penalised

theScore's Jordan Schultz reports Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase (questionable, hip) won't play in Week 12 against the Titans.

Chase returned to practice this week but will miss another game with his hip injury. The Bengals plan to hold Chase out to get him ready for their Week 13 matchup with Kansas City. Chase likely would have been on a snap count if he played after missing the last three games. Tee Higgins will continue to pick up Chase's targets in his absence. Higgins has a higher floor with Chase sidelined for a matchup with a Tennessee secondary that's allowed the third-most pass yards in the league.

Cardinals activated WR Marquise Brown from injured reserve.

Brown will make his long anticipated return to the lineup after missing the previous five contests while on the league's injured reserve. It's fair to expect the Cardinals to monitor his snaps against the Chargers, leaving the door open for Greg Dortch to assume a prominent role in the offense should he be cleared to play through a thumb injury. Otherwise, the team could be forced to increase A.J. Green and Robbie Anderson's involvement.

Come on, the raw number is enough to work out something's gone on.

You reckon RPO usage more than doubled since last year?

The NFL continuously tries to manufacture 'desired play' through rule changes or interpretations. They've been doing it for a long time.

Deshaun Watson has complied with the terms of his 11-game suspension and will be officially reinstated by the NFL on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

After being handed the ban Aug. 18, Watson was placed on the reserve/suspended list at the conclusion of the preseason and had been away from the Browns for about a month and a half before he was cleared in mid-October to resume working out at the team facility and attending meetings. Watson was then cleared to resume practicing Nov. 14, and once he gets another week of practice under his belt during the upcoming week, he'll unseat Jacoby Brissett as the Browns' new starting quarterback beginning with the team's Dec. 4 in Houston. Watson's return to the lineup against his former Texans squad will mark his first regular-season appearance in 700 days, as he last took the field in Houston's Week 17 game in 2020.
