Great post.

No doubt his free agent signing have been horrific, another one to add to the list is Dupree. Gave him a bag and hes done * all, as I thought would happen at the time (there was a reason the Steelers refused to give him a contract and franchise tagged him, classic plays hard in a contract year player and coasts when he isn't). Its contacts like Dupree's that meant you didnt have the money to give Brown a new deal. Autry has probably been his best free agent signing id say but so many misses.

Giving up a second round pick for Julio was disgusting.

Dupree has been serviceable when he is out there but needs Landry, Jeff and Autry out there as well. Autry has been unbelievable.

Also JRob came out said that we need to find money for Big Jeff. Which he shouldn’t be saying. Just say we are making his signing a priority.

Serviceable , maybe, but 2 years at 35m full guaranteed has still been a terrible return on investment when a pass rusher has 7 sacks over the past 2 years. 10m dead cap just to cut him next year

"Bud Dupree signed a 5 year, $82,500,000 contract with the Tennessee Titans, including a $16,000,000 signing bonus, $35,000,000 guaranteed"

Was watching a movie last night (Good Nurse) and had a wait a sec isn’t that? moment. And doing a very good job of playing the cop was Nnamdi Asomugha! Didn’t even know he’s been an actor for over a decade.

He pretended to be a #1 CB with the Eagles so this makes sense.

He pretended to be a cornerback with us, so it fits.

Did you know.. ..Broncos edition #3...

Carson Wentz who hasn't played in the past 7 weeks has more TD's this season than Russell Wilson

Jamaal Williams has as many TDs this year as the Denver Broncos entire team

College football can now be lucrative for some players and therefore I would expect more college players to stay in college to extend their college playing careers if they're unlikely to be drafted into the NFL. 9 QBs were drafted in last year's draft and I doubt Bennett would be considered a top 10 QB in this year's draft. I'm not aware of any age limitations for college eligibility and older players in college could be a thing going forward. COVID-19 has also been a factor in the general age of players in college.

That being said, there will still be a bunch of highly talented juniors rushing out of college and into the NFL system every year.

But it's not really a new thing. Brandon Weeden was 28 when he was drafted in the first round out of Oklahoma State. Only went to college after his MLB career didn't work out.

Chris Weinke was also 25 before going to Florida State due to playing baseball earlier. Players at that age are only there because they had other options before college or in Stepsons case the best he could get at a big school was as a walk-on.

Nearly all players will last the full 4 years if good enough if they don't believe they will be drafted regardless on NIL.

There are also players who go to schools like Utah/BYU that do missions for 1-2 years before returning to school.

Reports Mayfield will start if Wolford doesnt play, lol. 3 days and 1 practice to memorise the playbook in a game they are likely going to need to throw in facing a deficit. Even as a Baker hater that is some BS, McVay is a ******* clown.

At least Mayfield will have an excuse this time round

McVay is a very good offensive mind and QB coach, unlike the staff at the Panthers, he will get the best out of Mayfield.

Darnold looked good under the same coaches last week vs a top 3 defense.

Hell, PJ has looked far better.

The guy is absolutely washed. Hes a nervous Nelly in the pocket. Best of luck behind a s**t Rams oline coming off 3 days to learn the playbook without Kupp to check down to.

That is also a valid pov. Tbh, I'm teetering between "Mayfield is washed" and "McVay can resurrect".

Usually, when a player (especially young top drafted QB) ends up on his third team in a year or two it means they're washed.
