What team would agree to do a joint practice with the rams again after nothing happens to donald ?
The NFL is a great league, history, exciting games and players. But it's also full of things that make it hard to stomach -- loss of integrity, political bs, compromises, hypocrisies, pretending accountability and recourse only from public backlash, and the onfield product/results tainted with officiating interferences.

Sanders will bob up to sign for a contender at some point. Mr 1 year deals.

Think hes cooked as a player mate, id expect Suh "will bob up to sign for a contender at some point" to quote you... surprised he hasn't already tbh. Still one of the better DTs going around.

Brevin Jordan stock holders like me :'(

Texans signed TE O.J. Howard.

Howard couldn't crack the Bills' loaded 53-man roster, and the Bengals passed on an expected deal after claiming Devin Asiasi off waivers. Translation, it wasn't the most impressive summer for the 27-year-old, but he has landed in an extremely thin tight end group, one that just cut Jordan Akins. Second-year pro Brevin Jordan seems in line for a large snap share, but there isn't much standing between Howard and some legitimate playing time if the Texans are satisfied with his conditioning. Howard was reportedly "not quick" as a route runner in Bills camp. He is off the TE2 radar for the time being.

Giants released LB Blake Martinez.

Coming off a torn ACL, Martinez restructured his contract in the spring, but that still wasn't enough for the Giants' new brain trust. It is confusing after Martinez's restructure, but reporter Art Stapleton believes Martinez's release frees up roughly $3.5 million in additional cap space. It also leaves behind $4 million in dead money. Martinez was a solid defensive contributor as recently as 2020, so if he can prove his health, he might not take long to find a new job on the workout circuit.

Patriots placed WR Tyquan Thornton (collarbone) on injured reserve.

Slapped with a 4-8 week timeline after breaking his collarbone in the Patriots' second preseason game on Aug. 19, Thornton must now miss at least the first four games of the season. He will undoubtedly be one of the Pats' eight designated "return" players, but he is unlikely to have a big enough role to carve out re-draft value, at least off the bat. That could change if the Pats' deep-but-undynamic receiver corps gets off to a slow start in the speedy Thornton's absence.

Lions GM Brad Holmes believes Jameson Williams (ACL) is ahead of schedule in his recovery and could "accelerate" his return.

On the reserve/NFI list, Williams must miss at least the first four games. “He is on track, again, I’m not going to put out a hard date, but I will say, the weeks and weeks he’s strung together with his rehab, and he’s so gifted from a genetic standpoint,” Holmes said Thursday. “Once he keeps that consistency going, it actually could accelerate that return that we’re thinking." Williams is still going to miss a huge chunk of the fantasy season, and will likely be limited upon his debut, but perhaps there is a chance he could get back on the field before November.

Steelers placed WR Calvin Austin (foot) on injured reserve.

Austin has been sidelined since the Steelers' preseason opener. A rookie fourth-rounder known for his 4.32 speed, Austin must miss at least four games before being eligible for return. Behind the eight ball after missing most of camp and now almost a quarter of the season, the 5-foot-9 wideout could be limited to special teams contributions if he is added back to the 53-man roster this year.
