What a fantastic situation the GWS Giants find our self's in after taking our initial target in Cadman. The Giants have decided to go all in and take 2 KPF in this draft knowing that Harry Himmelberg will be leaving at seasons end to Richmond as a free agent

GWS Pick #17 have Selected
Matthew Jefferson
195cm/84kg
8/3/04
Oakleigh Chargers/Vic Metro
Key forward

GoTigers2015

With the best KPPs off the board, made this a difficult decision for Collingwood. Collingwood ask for an extra 3 minutes on the clock to discuss who they will select. Collingwood decide to go with best available and select Oliver Hollands. (rated 13th on their board)

Collingwood pick #18 have selected

Oliver Hollands

Midfielder, VIC

Age: 16/01/04
Weight: 73kg
Height: 183cm
Club: Vic Country/Murray Bushrangers/Wodonga FC/Geelong Grammar

2022 National Champs
114 ranking points, 23.5 disposals, 3.8 inside 50s, 6.5 marks, 2.3 clearances, 5.3 score involvements, 3.5 tackles (four games)

2022 NAB League
109 ranking points, 23.8 disposals, 5.8 inside 50s, 4.0 marks, 4.6 clearances, 4.8 score involvements, 6.0 tackles (five games)

A medium midfielder or wingman, Hollands uses his elite aerobic running ability to win the ball both on the inside and outside. He is a prolific ball winner who impressed in two games at under 17s level for Vic Country last year and has continued that form into this season.

Hollands is composed with the ball in hand, makes good decisions, tackles and pressures well and is described as an ultimate professional on and off the field. He finished equal-fourth in the Yo Yo test at the NAB League testing day in March, showing his aerobic capabilities.

Hollands impressed across all four games of the under 18 national championships this year for Vic Country, with his run and carry and pressure being highlights. He was named on the interchange bench in the Under-18 Boys All-Australian Team.

A Carlton supporter, Hollands tries to model his game on another strong runner in [PLAYERCARD]Sam Walsh[/PLAYERCARD]. However, the Geelong Grammar boarder also has a soft spot for the Gold Coast Suns, where his older brother Elijah burst onto the scene this year after being selected at pick 7 in the 2020 national draft. The Hollands brothers have rich football bloodlines, with their father Ben having played eight games for Richmond in 1999 and their great-grandfather Martin Cross having played 36 VFL games for Carlton between 1961 and 1963.

Also won the 2km trial at the National Combine.

With pick 19 Sydney Swans bid on [PLAYERCARD]Alwyn Davey[/PLAYERCARD] Jr, Grockadoc is on the clock to match. It will cost Essendon pick 24 to match

Pick 20 Sydney - Brayden George 185cm 87kg Forward

With a host of young talent the Swans can afford to take George here and let him spend the year recovering from his ACL injury.

Rioli2Rioli is on the clock with next 2 picks.

Can we change Sydney pick 16 to Henry Hustwaite and their pick 20 to Jaxon Binns - thanks

I would have taken Hollands at 16 but given he is now gone will only select from those yet to go.

Not changing as the rules were quite clear that if not on in time that picks would be automatically allocated if I hadn't received a message with picks beforehand.

Pick 23
West Coast

Harry Barnett

Ruck, SA

Age: 22/1/2004
Weight: 92kg
Height: 202cm
Club: West Adelaide/Goodwood Saints
2022 SANFL U18s 113 ranking points, 18.1 disposals, 7.4 hitouts-to-advantage, 5.8 score involvements 2022 National Champs 78 ranking points, 11.7 disposals, 8 contested possessions 4.7 hitouts-to-advantage
The strong-marking 202cm talent gives his midfielders first use in the ruck and has a strong presence as a forward, but it’s Barnett’s follow-up work at stoppages and hands at ground level that have really caught the eye. His development as a ball-winning offensive weapon was on full show in Round 7 of the under-18s, with the 18-year-old tallying 29 disposals, 12 contested possessions, 12 marks, 12 hitouts-to-advantage, two goals and 190 ranking points. Barnett backed it up with 191-ranking point performance two weeks later, before confirming his place as one of, if not the, standout ruck prospect in the draft at national level.

_RT_ your up(i think).
