A lot of maybe the Afl did this, maybe that, could have, should have. Not a single sentence about him taking responsibility for his own actions. One strike policy for inflicting violence on a woman. What, are you suggesting there should be two strike, three strike policy. The man has shown to be a terrible human, who it appears does not have ability to learn or to adjust his behavior. It is not the Swan's responsibility to make him an agreeable human. That was primarily parental responsibility and once of age it is his own responsibility.

And as I posted. Times have changed.

Dogs fans will be personally fistfighting our list management team if Weddle is there at our second pick, let alone third, and we don't take him.
hmm, yeah, good point. Do you think they would take Weddle, even if they took Hayes already?

I know they are different types of defenders.

I also wanted to send Cody Weightman some reinforcements, Konstanty is really well balanced, and applies great frontal pressure.

My thinking on the 3rd is that they've just lost Dunkley, so I wanted someone who could roll through the midfield if needed but was primarily a forward (again to add to that mix).

Yeah, I'd take two KPDs if the picks fell right. Though with this specific layout, with who's available at each pick, I'd be taking Phillipou, Konstanty, Weddle, and Ethan Phillips.

Humphrey won't slide that far down

Humphrey won't slide that far down
I know I'm a bit one-out on Humphrey. That's OK. It's nice to have a few different opinions. I tend to rate foot-skills really high so I can sometimes overlook other parts of the game. Maybe I'll come around closer to the draft.

Every AFL club rolls the dice selecting an interstate kid. Vic clubs can't pick certain interstate kids - we learnt that this year.

Geelong did well with Geelong kids this year.. but it was only last year that they lost a contract Clark after three years... so even having longer contracts will not solve the point of contention. One has to draft with the idea of how a kid will settle ... and if its line ball be tween the two..take the local or trade the pick. I think North will do very well out trading out and gain 2 and 3 this year.

Kelly was another you put a lot of effort in but couldn’t keep.

Kelly was another you put a lot of effort in but couldn’t keep.

Sure. An unusual situation ..and Geelong knew the risks, backed their system.. one might argue ..in a football sense he showed his best at geelong... but sometimes no matter what you do... or how competitive a club is a player wants to move. The pre covid move did not work out as hoped.

Some commentary seem to forget these are people not robots.

Maybe North should have traded , maybe North should have picked a different player but even that brings the assessment of rear vision experts. King going hard this year is an example.. and he had not even seen what the two kid North will draft can bring or what Cadman is like against afl defenses
