I think the standing rule may have contributed to less tagging. Fair few mids were 110+ this seasonIs Oli really tag susceptible?
Edit: would have thought his contested ball makes him one of the less susceptible primos.
Dawson as a forward?![]()
I read somewhere but cant remember where he would be Def/Fwd next year so dont take it as gospel.
Looks like Dawson has been all over the shop in recent weeks. I know fanfooty isn't always accurate, but they had him playing half forward in round 21, defence in round 22 and wing in round 23. Heat map for the last few weeks would suggest he was playing outside mid, but others would be able to analyse that better than I.Prob got my wires crossed mixed in with a bit of wishful thinking I guess. He was D/F in past seasons and he has pushed up the ground this year so I prob got carried away haha.
100% is best 22. Will certainly be waiting to see where Sicily ends up playing next season, but I do have a suspicion that we'll trade Gunston and Sicily will move forward and take his role. One of Day, Jiath or Impey could push up to a wing.
His intercept marking and precision kicking is so valuable.
B. Hardwick Hartigan Forst
HB. Scrimshaw DGB Jiath
C. Day
HF. Sicily
IC: Impey
We may see something like that.

Sam Walsh finished 9th in SC in his third year.
If you don't start him next year you are a nuffie, IMHO.
He also showed he struggled with a tag. He's not going to get less tags next year.
Judd was tagged every game of his career almost lol walshy will just have to work something outUnless Cripps man's the fook up and grows a Chol.
Walshy first tagged at the te@ baggers .
He's a jet, but teams will put work into him.

It's all just splitting hairs at present. Can't start all the guns so have to try and work out which might be easier to get during the season. Is Oli really tag susceptible?

Going the Dolly Parton ruck strategy:
Darcy & Draper
The double D's

I'm really looking forward to the death of the Gawndy 'set and forget' period. Should be a lot of interesting choices for rucks. Gawn, Darcy, Marshall, McInerney, Draper and possibly even Preuss.
Don't even see Grundy being a particularly popular pick with four 80's from his last six games.

FTFYHartigan was very solid this year on the big forwards. Not expecting Sicily to start playing on Hawkins, Dixon, Kennedy, Walker etc.
Frost can from time to time but he's better playing on hacks, takes one to know one.
Siss kicked 30 goals as a forward in 2016. It's more a myth that he can't play forward due to the impact it has on his Supercoach scoring (has kicked 58 in his career from 93 games). In the real world there is no reason why he couldn't become a 30+ goal a year forward again.
This is also only my own personal view. Not saying it's definitely happening.
Was just wondering that myself. Why on earth would anyone pick Draper?

Got him in too, in the end averaged the same as Grundy for the year. His tapwork is the best in the league and wins a lot of contested ball hence why he can score quickly. Should be in the frame next year as no injury problems since last acl.Nic Nat is frustrating because of his low game time but CD love him and he scores so quickly. I traded him in for Grundy in R12 almost my best trade of the year. He had 19/22 Tons for the year lowest score of 86. His last 16 scores were 100 or over

Ivan Soldo will be good to go if anyone wants a cheap R2. He's good for 75-80.
