Gould a lock surely? The main Swan I'll be keeping my eyes on through the pre-season from a Supercoach standpoint is Blakey. Should only cost around $300k, but I would expect he will have a key rebounding role next year with us next year. Looked like he was really starting to grow into that role before he got injured, and I think there's plenty of room for improvement.
Too big a risk at this stage, but definitely someone to watch given his price and the role he should be playing.

Apparently the one thing holding him back is his tank. If he gets that right, I reckon he'll play a few games next year, but I'd be waiting until he's played 2 to entertain bringing him in. We aren't blessed with size down back, so I reckon we will give him a crack at some point.Gould a lock surely?![]()

Definitely. I mentioned it on the Swans board, but lacking the tank for AFL-level is just about the most fixable issue he can have after a couple of years in the system. If he works really hard on that over the off-season he has the tools to make it IMO.Listed as 191cm and 98kg sounds like he needs to trim down a few kegs.
IF Sydney pick-up Paddy McCartin in the rookie draft, he's worth more of a look than Gould at this point.
I would assume the tigers are drafting mids?If he does get drafted he won't be Supercoach relevant unless you have balls of Steel
Yeah, would probably also fall into the same category as Gould as I'd need 2 games to even entertain it.If he does get drafted he won't be Supercoach relevant unless you have balls of Steel

Will they get a shot early?
You guys have some decent picks.
Reckon you might be overrating a player with the surname Dow. Dow and Judd just don't belong in the same sentenceWe already have some very good young Midfielders RCD,Tom Dow,Will Martyn & Jack Ross coming through but they need games to see if they are up to standard. I love Tom Dow he is a ripper he is a combination of Judd/Pendlebury he will be a star. We have 6 picks inside the the first 40 so I'm sure there will be mids picked but all teams love Key position players so I'm sure they will go for both Forward and Back players as well.

new seasonTrust me Tom is 100 times better than Paddy![]()
new season
Everything is the same
Dow is a rookie every year.
Just choose SANFL & WAFL kidsIMO after the top 4 picks (JHF, Daicos, Darcy and Callaghan) the draft is pretty even due to lack of exposed form.
We may get picks in the 20s perform well this year I think.
Which would be great for SC.
YupJust choose SANFL & WAFL kids
If the Dawson deal goes through would it effect the seagull?IF Sydney pick-up Paddy McCartin in the rookie draft, he's worth more of a look than Gould at this point.
More kick-ins, I'd imagine. I expect the the seagull will continue to feast on a healthy amount of chips. Enough to hold a spot in your back 6.If the Dawson deal goes through would it effect the seagull?
More chips?

The key question with him is whether the Swans pull the trigger on Blakey and McInerney becoming our driving forces out of defence. We're really shifting away from the game style we played when Lloyd won his Bob Skilton medals. We've shifted from control (key to Lloyd's scoring) to attack. Nonetheless, I think he will be a reliable 100+ avg, but he probably won't reach his previous heights.
Hewett and Dawson gone certainly helps his chancesGould a lock surely?![]()
Not worth it.
Outside mid, previously a fringe player and no real indication of the kind of role he'll play at the Pies. Best case he gets a decent chunk of midfield time, but he's still building his game.
Probably goes on to average 70-80.
Hard pass IMO.
He'll be a watch and react in-season for me no matter what his form looks like in the pre-season. At minimum you'd expect him to take a number of games to settle in with the new team. If he does fire early then I'll look at jumping onHe's already gone 80avg at 21 and 22 years of age with around 10 cbas a game, and 35disp avg in the VFL. This year his cbas were 0.
I expect him to go 85 minimum and probably 90-95 provided he gets 2/3 of cbas a game, say 15. Contested rate isnt the best which means he might be better suited to other formats given his expected SC price (356k).
A bit like Isaac Cumming where he's in the right age, posted huge numbers in the VFL but was behind more established players.
From this trade period he is clear no.1 for me on the watchlist.
