It’s a soft watch on Dusty for me, but I’m expecting far less of a cripple fight up forward next year so expect him to slide down the pecking order irrespective of his fitness / age

DEFENCE: Ryan, Ridley, Lloyd, rookie, rookie, rookie (might go five premo defenders again if there aren't a lot of good rookie or mid-priced starting defenders next year)
MIDFIELD: Steele, Parish, Merrett, Oliver, rookie, rookie, rookie, rookie
RUCK: Darcy, ? (would love it if another Flynn style ruck rookie popped up next season)
FORWARD: Dunkley (assuming he keeps forward/mid status?), ?, ?, rookie, rookie, rookie

Not gonna go near Cripps and Dusty ever again. Heeney might end up on the never again list too, depending on how the rest of the year pans out. How does everyone think Impey and Jiath are gonna go next year? Worth considering as starting picks coming off season ending injuries?

Grundy is smack bang in the middle of his prime for a ruck at 27 years old. I reckon the midfield is irrelevant when he's racking up 20 touches himself. His role is still elite as the #1 ruck with no capable back up.

It would be a brave man to not pick him.

I'm so old I remember the original Kmartin (Kyle Martin) mature aged pre-bye downgrade Mid who sat idly on my mid bench for half a season in 2013. Played and scored fairly well in his first 3 games then I can't recall if he got injured or if he spudded up in his 4th game but was never seen from again at AFL level. Went on to become a VFL GOAT though.

He is a Optus Stadium specialist. Think he averages about 15 points more there than anywhere else.

The thing with Dusty is you can ALWAYS get him cheaper down the track, even if he's averaging 100 or more. I don't think I'll start Dusty next season. I see more upside in starting Bolton at a similar price.

I take this back. I'd rather have my chol torn to pieces by a Tiger than start Bolton. I don't even think I want Short. No Richmond and no GWS players sounds like a very good plan.
