Not sure if serious? Hall is older than Ziebel. There is zero chance you take Ziebell in the backline moving forward imo, that is a disaster waiting to happen. At least Hall is young and has shown incredible glimpses.
Will also be interesting to see if SC nerf kick out points. That will kill JZ and a number of other players value.
Do not pick Ryan he will do your head in.

The reason Hall has played 100 games less is because he is a walking, talking soft tissue injury. I agree though, as long as his preseason is flawless I'll start Hall again next year.Jesus christ, the IQ level among some are low I tell you.
Ziebell has played 230 games and looks like he hobbles all game, can't even pull himself off the ground when he falls over.
Hall has played nearly 100 less games and his style of play is scintillating, and he hasn't had the wear and tear JZ has had. In terms of that alone, yes Hall is younger. I understand they're the same age but Ziebell is cooked, I'd say he has 1 maybe 2 years left
you legit said Ziebell was older, not ****ing durability kentJesus christ, the IQ level among some are low I tell you.

The problem with having 6 premo's in the mid's is that is usually where the best rookies are, so you are compromising cash gen.I'm just thinking 2 of Marshall, English, Jackson with the other up forward and go gangbusters in the mids, like 6 premos or something. Has anybody here tried that?
ok, this year has been very different for him though, hasn't had that crash and bash this year.I understand but it also means he doesn't have the mileage in his legs.
I'll use the Running Back analogy in the NFL if anyone has heard of it ... RB's hit a point and age when they hit a certain amount of carries that they fall off a cliff, usually around the 1800-2000 mark.... Not many continue on past that.
Older RB's without the mileage can continue to produce at a higher clip than younger RB's that have had loads more carries over their careers .. basically JZ is a walking time bomb and Hall has plenty left to give.
Happy ImissFrosty? Get back to school son.

View attachment 1202549 i.e 27%of his touches are contested, well below average.
Career
View attachment 1202553 46%, that's elite. for comparison, Clarry Oliver is at 55%.
This could see a large rejuvenation for the Ziegull possibly giving him 2-3 more years at the top level.
my thinking is, when North are getting smashed Ziebell scores a lot more, when north are going ok like they are right now Hall scores a lot more. When the opposite happens, Ziebell's floor is around 80-85 at worst, Hall is 100. So by owning both you get the best of both worlds, Zieb is still a gun fwd premo now even with less kickouts or whatever.Ziebell is only averaging 101 since round 8 and it feels like they are relying on him less and less as the season goes on whereas they look to get the ball in Hall’s hands whenever possible. Considering he’ll be priced at a 110 average I won’t be picking him.
mid heavy draft too actually, not a lot of talls. We need Horne m/f and possibly Daicos???The problem with having 6 premo's in the mid's is that is usually where the best rookies are, so you are compromising cash gen.

north are 18th though, obviously going to get scored against moreYeah this is my point. Ziebell's defensive instincts have improved but I think they're still poor, he ranks below average for pressure acts, average for tackles, defensive loss % and rates and whilst he's above average for spoils he doesn't exactly do much to improve their backline. his kicking efficiency is like 86% but that's pretty easy when you chip sideways and backwards the whole time. Hall averages better numbers across the board, minus spoils. IMO you can only carry one of these players in a back 6, it's the reason NM get beaten so convincingly every week, you simply can't have two guys who attack and zone off and expect to be a good team. Hall will be the guy they choose, so either Ziebell becomes a small lockdown defender or he is moved. Not to mention Hall is much better on rebounds from the exit 50 and score launches.
Will be interesting to see what Norf do though, he is their captain so has to get given games .... but read this.
"North Melbourne’s Jack Ziebell is the biggest beneficiary of the kick-in boost; they single-handedly bring his disposal average from the teens to the mid-twenties.
The problem for the Kangaroos though is that they continue to be punished from Ziebell’s kick-ins.

Very few players or teams actually have a positive scoring differential from kick-ins; it’s easier to score from a kick-in turnover than a kick-in.
But Ziebell’s differential is twice as bad as anyone else in the AFL. From chains launched from Ziebell kick-ins, North Melbourne has conceded almost 21 goals more than it has scored." - FOX SPORTS
I expect us to try and find a number 1 ruck so English can return to his r/f role from earlier on in the season.

Birchall and Rich maybeI agree with this but I also believe they are a victim of their own doing .. tell me any other team that has two large volume possession players in their OWN D50 who sag off and have 500+ metres gained every week and who are also awful defenders.
Agreed
SC always seem to be kents with prices. But if Mrouch is low $400k's he will be in every serious team and it's boring so I kind of get why they do it.
hmmm, wonder where? Gold Coast? Port?Looks like he will be somewhere else next year.
Crows exit increasingly likely for free agent

The other issue is as north improve teams might look to curtail Hall. If you cut him off then you really slow down their playing style. He's as soft as butter so if he's made to defend he's in troubleYeah I get the sense watching North that Ziebell was plugging a hole while they were really sh*t at the start of the year, and now they’re improving he’s needed less and less, hence his numbers going down. I wonder if he’ll even play back next year at all.
Wouldn't be surprised to see him at the Sun's. It was mooted last year but his salary demands were deemed too high. Suspect he goes wherever he gets paid the most.I'm pretty sure he is from around Ballarat region so would probably come back to a Victorian team. I have heard his name mentioned a couple of times at the Tigers but I think we are more interested in Cerra. Maybe North or Carlton might want him. I doubt Geelong would take him he is under 35 years old.

Freo a chance if they lose Cerra too.
