Priced under $350k he'll be hard to ignore. Just needs a big pre-season as he's not fit currently.
Yep. But i reckon at 350k you need 90-95 average minimum. Even if he achieves that he is not a mid keeper.
I think he needs a big preseason + 2 months of AFL games before he is ready.
Back half of next year he could do a Tarryn Thomas and go premo.
And if im wrong and he comes out swinging next year 350k is achievable as a sideways.

D: Stewart, Lloyd, Crisp, Milera, rookie, rookie (rookie, rookie)
M: Macrae, Steele, Oliver, Bont/Walsh, Neale, N.Daicos, rookie, rookie (rookie, rookie)
R: Darcy, Grundy (rookie)
F: Marshall, De Goey, Thomas, Rioli, rookie, rookie (rookie, rookie)

that'll be too pricey I think, but cbf doing the maths

Dan Rioli has to be considered next year if Houli retires. Priced at a ~60 average, what's that? $320k? Should be DEF/FWD.

Might be too expensive as a high price cash cow/stepping stone though, so you'd want a 90 average, which would be a stretch.

Nah bit injury prone. Meatball though, he might be worth a look.
Can't be touching MID only cheapies, there's too many good, young, ultra premos in the middle these days. Can't afford to waste a spot. Neale is the only cheap mid I'll consider, and he's 20-30 points underpriced lol (he's a lock if he has a full preseason imo)

Take the cheap speculative picks in the forward line, that's what has worked for the last few years

And maybe somebody like Milera in defence, who will be the same price as the number 1 draft pick

I actually thought Prestia was cheaper tbh but he's not. Not cheap enough for me to consider. This year I went with 5 x 600k mids to start. Probably do similar again. Or 4 + Neale.

Reckon Berry is the biggest lock IF he is priced at 45. Should be safe for 90+ after a good PS.

Not 100% sure .

Brissy mids of Lyons 🦁 Neale clear one and two mids ...
Suitcase moving into the number 3 spot .
Unsure if enough chips for berry .pending Zorko role aswell.

Where M.Crouch proven ball winner and 110 SC pig .
COGS will prob be dicked about from Leon.

Maybe, price is the key. IF he starts at $230k he really only needs to average 80+ and get to $400k to be worth it. Could do better than that. If SC are kents (likely) and start him at $350k he's not worth it.

Brissy mid's, it could go either way. Lyons a gun, Zorko getting older, Suitcase is a winger, Neale who knows could go SP again, could be still busted up like this year.

Mrouch will start above $500k, if you're picking him it's for the season. I'm thinking 4 SP's (Macrae, Steele, Lyons, Miller) Rowell or Berry at M5 then rookies. There will be a few higher priced mid rookies that might be worth it this year.

Cog's very risky I agree, will depend on price, under $300k he might be worth the risk as he can score. Can always downgrade to a rookie after 4-5 rounds if needed. There are usually a few good rookies that most miss because they debut round 3.

Have to see, but no sure thing Milera (or Preuss, for that matter) cops a discount on top of a discount, right?
In those cases, they have sometimes just rolled over the previous year's price.
Crouch should get some sort of discount.
Sounds like Preuss might play this week, will be interesting to see if they price him off a single game if he does get named.

I can’t see GWS playing Preuss in a potential must win game.

Mummy can't play more than 2-3 In arow.

They play sausage king.

Then he's probs 50/50 for a knock out final.

Less than that if they win first week of finals ..

Interesting.

Milrea makes Brichall look durable :moustache: .

Pruess and Milera are garbage trucks and no one should be considering them anyways.
But you're right, they do have history of not awarding extra discounts.

Naismith's price went UP the other year after back to back 0 game seasons.

Just got given the same discount as the year before, based on the same average, but a higher MN saw him start at $100 more than the season prior.

Houli has retired :'( It should be good for Short next year though

I don't think Short has a 100+ average in him, butchers it sometimes and pumps out lots of 70s and 80s.

Dan Rioli priced at a 60 average, DEF/FWD DPP and playing Houli's role is though. Preseason watch!

Yep that's Short locked in. Especially as Richmond will be doing a lot more defending.

Edit: Yeah like Steve said, Rioli is an option now too. Be nice if he had a big score this week to get everyone tempted.

104 average with a low of 85 in the last 6 without Houli, will be a bit of value next year if thats the norm without Houli.

Damn your logic. I picked him this year expecting Houli injuries, so next year without Houli, I'll most likely pick him (unless there's enough DEF rookies as I prefer Stewart/Lloyd/Crisp). He just pisses me off, and so do the Tigers, but yeah, hard to ignore.

Not sure I start him though but will be in mix for top 6, would pick Stewart/Crisp/Lloyd/Hall before him if they all have good preseasons and can fit the 4 in.
